I closed my eyes and put my hands out in front of me. We needed to destroy this crystal and fast. Noah told us to repeat after him. It was some sort of spell that definitely wasn't English. I opened my eyes and saw so much light coming from each of our hands. Slowly, the crystal started to disappear. When it was completely gone, a vortex opened. Silver and blue swirled in the sky. It started to suck in everything. Before we could finish the spell, Lenard screamed, "Stop! You don't know what you are doing!" We ignored him and continued. I looked at the vortex and inside were memories. Hanes, Angie, Cadence, and Jason all flashed before me. Then all of a sudden the vortex started pulling us towards it. Lucas and I both grabbed onto Noah for help, and we watched as Lenard was sucked away. We ran towards headquarters as fast as we could. Noah and Lucas locked the door and we ran upstairs. We split up to search for something that we could use to hold the door closed. I found chairs and books. I remembered the secret room connected to Lenard's office. There might be something we could use to fight the vortex.
Noah's POV: I was in the west wing when Cat came running in to find me. She was out of breath, and looked as exhausted as I was. She told me all about Len's secret room and what we might be able to use. We went to go look for Lucas who was supposed to be in the east wing. After a few minutes of searching, we found him. Cat told him the plan and we were off. When we got to the door of the chamber, it was locked. "Great Cat, there goes our chance of survival!" She glared at me. "Shut up Noah, I know what I'm doing!" With that, she pushed against a wall and it opened into the next room. We followed her in unsure of what we would find. The room itself was odd, it's blue lighting and white floors made it look pretty sketchy. Never the less, we followed her. Probably to our death, but hey, that's just me talking.
Lucas' POV: Cat told Noah and I to look for something "useful". I noticed a bookshelf and went to take a look. I found nothing good and quit looking. "Cat, this is really hopeless." I told her. "Face it, we're going to die." She turned to me and laughed. "You sound like Noah!" I laughed and Noah turned around, "Hey!" he said insulted. That was the great thing about Cat. It could be the end of the world and she could still make us laugh.
Cat's POV: I think we were all ready to face our deaths. We were so tired and could barely keep our eyes open. Nobody was thinking straight and that was dangerous. I decided we needed to rest. "Guys, we need a nap, pick a corner and we'll continue searching in an hour or so." They both nodded and went to sleep.
