I thought to myself for a minute. If I pick this reality I'll have Noah, but he'll suffer. Only he'll have memories. "Noah, I don't want you to have to suffer." I finally said. "No, you can't pick that reality because of me. I saw how upset you were, and you can't live it again." My eyes widened. "You never said I had to do it over." I was confused. "I thought I was only going to get a back story?" Noah sighed. "Yes, you'll have both." Before I could answer, the back door flew open. It was Julie. "Sorry to interrupt, but Cat your mom wants you." I nodded and turned to Noah. "We'll figure something out." I told him. He smiled and headed for his car, while I went inside. I found my mother in my room. "Julie said you wanted me?" She nodded. "I want to talk to you about something." She motioned me to come sit next to her. "Go ahead, tell me." She smiled."I've been offered a huge job, and I will be out of state for a while." I nodded. "I will be gone for seven months, so I won't be here for your birthday."I smiled then answered. "That's okay. It's a big deal, I understand." She hugged me and went back to work. I explained the whole situation to Noah. I told him to come back in the morning because I had an idea. My plan was to take Scarlet and Comet for a ride on the trail to explore more. Comet was an all black mustang. If I was correct, he is the only gelding in the barn. I decided to go back to the barn and meet the horses. I stopped at every stall getting to know each horse and their personality. The barn was divided in two. On side of the aisle were mares, and the other were stallions. Every stallion had a hot temper. They'd kick at the stall, and try to bite me. Except Comet. It was true, he was the only gelding in the barn. He had the sweetest temper and was extremely calm. His stall was right across from Scarlet's. The barn manager Katie, said that they are close friends, and are pasture buddies. I asked if I could take Comet for a ride, and she seemed shocked. "Of course you can, you are the boss!" I laughed and asked her to tack him up for me. She did and gave me some info about all the horses. Be careful if you ever ride a stallion. "I don't recommend it, but if you really want to the best stallion to ride is Aztec." I knew Aztec, he is placed on Comet's left. He is pure white and his hair nearly touches the ground. Of course I'd want to ride him! I told her to have him tacked up by the time I got back with Comet. I was going to take Comet into the jumping ring then cool him off. My plan with Aztec, was to bring him on the trail next to the dressage ring. Katie had Comet ready and I headed towards the jumping ring.
