We watched as Lenard disappeared into the shadows. I now had a difficult decision to make. I could  choose being  a jumper and risk my life every time I switch realms, or be human and lose all my memory. I obviously wasn't going to give up my memory, but all this seemed unfair. Noah and Lucas have no choice than to be jumpers. They were born into jumper families without the freedom to choose. I decided I was going to change the way things were, but I needed both the boys help. Noah told me that there was a vault above us containing a crystal orb that kept the alternate worlds existent. All we had to do was destroy it. Our plan was for me to distract Lenard while Lucas and Noah broke into the vault and grabbed the orb. We'd then meet back outside of the headquarters where we would use all of our jumper power to destroy it for good. I left the boys and went off to find Lenard. He was in the north wing like he had said earlier. I knocked on the door to what I assumed was the office, but no one answered. I continued to knock, still nothing. I turned the doorknob, and to my surprise it was unlocked. I went in and the door slammed behind me, locking itself shut. I heard Lenard's voice from a speaker. It said,"Caterina, did you really think you could outsmart me? I heard your little plan and I wanted you to know that you will never succeed. Good luck trying to get out of here. I have to go teach your little friends a lesson. Buh-bye!" I had to find a way out of there, but first I needed to warn the boys. I searched for what seemed like an hour. Eventually, I gave up and sat down against the bookshelf. The wall began shifting and opened into another room. I sprang up and ran towards the door in the other room. It was unlocked and I sprinted back to the south wing. When I got there I was too late, the boys were already gone. I hoped that maybe they had escaped and got the crystal, so I ran outside of the building. I let out a sigh of relief when I saw them. Noah was holding the orb in his hand and Lucas was motioning me to come over. I ran to them as fast as I could. "Where have you been, we were starting to get worried?" Noah asked me as he gave me the shimmering blue crystal. I was so distracted by it's beauty, I almost forgot to answer him. "Uh, Lenard trapped me in his office and It took a while to escape." Noah and Lucas exchanged looks. I ignored them still, mesmerized by the crystal. "It's so beautiful. Do we really need to destroy it?"

Noah's POV: I looked at Lucas, he had the same expression I did. "Cat, It was your idea. We have to destroy it in order to be free, don't you want that?" She stared at me blankly, emotionless. Lucas took the crystal away from her and it she snapped out of whatever trance she was in."Y-yeah more than anything, sorry I don't know what came over me!" she finally said. There was fear in her eyes as she looked up at me. "We better hurry up." Lucas said looking at the orb. "It might contain more power than we know." We both nodded. Lucas set the crystal down and we circled around it.
