Senna -
Senna was so happy that her daughter was awake. And it's their first Christmas together.
But she has this uneasy feeling. She kept looking at Demitri. He has been watching Draven. It's not good. Demitri wouldn't attach, would he?
She is going to keep an eye on Demitri. Demitri doesn't know, but she did manage to coax into his head when he was unconscious with the dagger in his chest. She knows his plans, but they could easily change. How can Demitri know that Draven is the culprit?
"Senna," Demitri squeezed a rubber ball. He looked oddly stressed. Too stressed for her liking.
She rubs his arms. "What's wrong? Tell me what is bothering you?"
"I think I'm losing it," he said. "Being around Draven is driving me mad. I want to rip his throat out." He whispers.
"Don't worry, that's not going to happen," Senna kept running his arms. His scent kept coming back. Her blood isn't working anymore; he is slowly becoming immune or adapting. "You need more of my blood," she whispered.
"No," he said. "I think I've had enough of this; I'm going ahead with my plans."
She tried to get into his head and see what his plans were. They could be different from before. But she couldn't; Draven entered with some gifts.
Demitri went rigid. She grips his hand, digging her nail into his palm. It's to keep him grounded.
"Daddy," Luna smiled. "Welcome back, did you get it!" Draven left earlier in the morning to get Luna her favorite cake.
"I did," he held three boxes. "I got three." Luna squealed and took the boxes. It's like she wasn't bedridden at all.
Draven walked up to them. He smiled. "Senna, this is for you; thank you for giving birth to such a beautiful child. And an apology for being rude. And I hope you can finally howl in happiness."
Senna blushed and took the box from him. She wasn't expecting this.
"Sorry," she said. "I didn't mean for my howls to be so depressing, and thank you."
Draven turned to Demitri. "Young man, I hope you and I can chat soon. You're my daughter's soulmate. It's time we sat down and went over some rules."
Demitri forced a smile. Senna rubs his back to ease the tension. He realized a bit.
"Of course," Demitri smiled.
She set the box on the side table. "Come, Demitri, as your guardian, I must give you some advice." She excused herself and dragged Demitri outside. She needs to tell him to cease his plans.
"What?" He paced back and forth, tugging at his hair. He was losing it. His eyes kept switching back and forth.
"Cease your plans," he stopped and looked at her. "Luna won't forgive you, and it's Christmas. Please don't ruin this moment for her. Besides, how can you be so sure it was Draven? Did you witness him kill your mother?"
He squeezed the rubber ball. "No, I didn't see, but I recognized his scent."
She smacks his head. "You can't kill someone just by scent. What if it's the wrong man? You'll end up hurting Luna."
He groaned. "I know, but I made up my mind, and there's nothing you or anyone can do to stop me," his eyes change red. "I have to do this."
Senna sighed. "I'll have to tell them."
The stress ball popped. "What?" He looked heartbroken. "You would betray me?"
"If I have to, I will, even though it will pain me; you're like a son to me," she said. "I saved you even knowing you were a vampire, and I took care of you."
