Saito-
Peace.
It's what he wanted since Luna isn't in the house, at least for a month.
But he had to deal with buying new properties.
He met with the older man, but the man didn't sell them to Saito. The older man signs them off to him like an inheritance. Saito did ask if he had any family he could give the money to. But the older man just scoffed and said his kids are ungrateful that it's one of his children that's trying to buy the land to build the luxury resort.
The older man is telling his son to fuck off. Saito laughed at that. Ungrateful kids, they haven't visited them since their mother died. They all move out after high school.
Saito sighed. Now that he owns the land kicking these stubborn humans out won't be easy. But Saito has a plan. He will give them two months, and after two months, he will evict them by force. It sounds harsh, but they built on property that wasn't theirs. Saito is sure he will have to deal with human authority.
He already has his lawyers and human lawyer working on it. The human's lawyers are those who are married within his clan. They accepted his people and rewarded immortality.
"We have the original blueprints, property ownership, and the old man's testimony. Even if he passed away, we have video proof," his lawyer spoke. "It'll be easy to remove those people and fight off the family. I'm sure the family will question and accuse you of fraud. Or harassing the old man to sell."
Saito nodded. "I'll leave everything to you and the others. Come to me if you need anything. Or there's Dale; he can help you, too."
He ended the meeting. There isn't much to discuss. He left the house and went for a walk. He needs a distraction.
He wanted to visit the girl, but she was no longer at the cabin. He isn't sure where she is. He's worried he won't ever see her again. Saito hasn't been this anxious since becoming Alpha.
He groaned. He feels somewhat alone. Lilly is always working or spending time with Dante, her soulmate. They are inseparable.
Saito will admit he's a bit jealous. He is unhappy that everyone is finding their soulmates and his not. Saito is the alpha; shouldn't the Alpha be first? He smacks his forehead. What is he thinking?
He shifted and ran into the woods. He needs a little alone time. He ran until he came upon the small river. It's not too hot outside or cold. He looks around; the leaves have turned from green to orange, red, and yellow. Some brown ones lay on the ground.
Smiling, he flopped down on the grassy area and relaxed; this was what he needed; all that stress was slowly fading. He gradually dozed off. As he slept, his senses weren't all shut off. He could sense someone nearby. They tried to be quiet and light on their feet. But the crunching of the leaves wasn't helping.
Saito kept still and pretended to be asleep. He knew who it was, and he didn't want to frighten off in case she wasn't wearing the mask.
She didn't hesitate once she was near and flung herself to his side. He stifled a laugh and stayed still a rock. Her hands dug into his fur, running them up and down. She snuggles against his side.
"I caught you off guard," she sighed out of satisfaction. "Soft. So soft." There was a flapping sound, like bird wings. He felt the breeze against his face. And it wasn't that windy today. Saito is—tempted to open his eyes and look at her.
They stayed like that for what seemed like an hour before she sighed. Saito felt her face against his. "I'll see you again; I hope you accept me." She kisses his nose.
