Taylor-
Taylor continues the story. He's surprised at how Luna hasn't interrupted him much. She's a good listener.
Cleaning his throat, he sniffles. "Yes, it seems like the guardians are in contact with the angels."
She nodded.
She wiped his eyes. "Afterwards, my mother was placed in a safe asylum. She lives a peaceful life now. I went to live with my father, but I left; I couldn't stand being around him. I went back to my mother's apartment. It was still intact. My father bought the building to keep the apartment intact. I moved in and met my mother's friends. They comforted me. I still live there; I sometimes come and go. I always have to lie to my family about where I go."
"Family?"
"There, my family," Taylor said. "My mother's friends are my new family. I spend holidays and birthdays with them." He smiled. "They were sad to hear about my mother. They hear about the cult from the news and surviving members. No one believes it, at least not the humans. They visit my mother, too, and it helps. My mother loves having them around."
"But?" She's good.
"My mother was pregnant," tears blur his vision. "She gave birth in the asylum; she gave birth to a girl, and my sister went to the orphanage. I adopted her, and with Luther's help, I had to beg him. I made a deal with him. I'll do whatever he says, so long as he helps me keep my sister safe. He agreed. I work for my father and help him with his business. It's easy. As for my sister, I adopted her, I did a DNA test, and she's not that monster daughter. She someone's else; it seemed someone else had their way with my mother. The father isn't related to my mother and is all cared about. But my sister is a tiger shapeshifter."
Luna sighed. "Your mother has suffered."
"I don't think she suffers with my sister's father," he sat up. "I think she loved him. I have tried to find him; I know I didn't kill him. But I fear my grandfather killed him. I need my mother to tell me whether searching for him is still worth it. I want to give my sister her father."
Luna smiled. "Does your sister know this, sorry?"
"Yes, and no, my sister doesn't know about me; it's best to keep her at arm's length, but I had my mother's friend tell her about what happened and why her mommy isn't around," he sighed. "She visits our mother a lot. But our mother loves her. I should be jealous, but I'm not. I brought nothing but suffering to her. If my sister makes her happy, I'll endure not being loved by her."
Luna hugged him. "Thank you for telling me your story." She kisses his cheek. "You aren't such a bad guy, big brother."
Taylor felt emotional. He cried again just after hearing Luna call him brother.
He wasn't sure what had happened, but he passed out from crying. He woke up on top of Luna. He was snuggling her. It wasn't anything inappropriate; it was more like a motherly hug. He didn't get up and went back to sleep.
For the first time in a long time, he had a peaceful dream—one where his mother loved him.
Tomorrow, he will visit his mother. And he will take his sister. It's time they talk about Avery's father.

Luna-
Luna sighed. Today, she woke a little depressed but happy. She bonded with Taylor. He opens up to her. It's sad what happens. He had such an awful childhood.
She decided to give Taylor a chance to be her big brother.
"Take that!"
Scratch that, she changed her mind. "My new shirt!" She tried to kick him in the balls but failed.
