Demetrius-

After days of driving around, he finally reached the small town he picked and called to get them a temporary home. He already had a place to rent a small two-bedroom house. He had called ahead for the landlord to meet him.

"It's a nice town," Luna sat up and looked out the window. "I see why you chose this town. It's isolated and in the middle of nowhere."

Demitri did indeed choose this town for how isolated this town is. It's a population of one thousand or so. It's minimal.

He parked in the driveway and got out. He was going to tell Luna to stay put, but she was already getting out. He sighed and closed the door.

The landlord came out of the house. It was a man, and there was another man with him. Demitri held Luna's hand, just in case.

"Hi!" The short one offers his hand. "My name is Denny Hank; this is my husband, Jack Hank."

Demitri relaxed. A gay couple, he would work with that. There is no need to be jealous. Demitri shook their hands. Luna kept to herself. She grips the back of his shirt.

"My banish Demitri Jackson," he kept his name short. "And my girlfriend Luna McAllister." He used Senna's last name. "Don't let looks deceive you; she's older than she looks."

Denny laughed. "I knew it, child. I wish I had your skin complex; it's lovely, and you are beautiful. And no judgment. We welcome anyone into our humble little town."

Luna relaxed. "Thank you." She smiled at them.

"Well, come along," Denny smiled. "We check your paperwork; it's all in order; we don't ask for anything other than proof that you are you." They entered the house, and Luna immediately went to the counter. There were appetizers and drinks. She grabbed a cupcake.

"Luna, manners," he sighed.

Luna smiled.

Denny giggle. "We are going to enjoy having you around. Let's show you around the house, shall we? So that you know everything is up to date. We recently changed the electric wire and got new appliances. We added a second bathroom. And we recently renovated the kitchen."

They follow Denny and Jack around the house. The kitchen was a decent size,  perfect for two people. And it's open, giving them a good view of the living room with a fireplace. There's a spot that Luna seems to like. In the living room area is a sliding door that leads to a sunroom. Windows shields the dayroom, and sun curtains will give them privacy. Luna was already enjoying it. The house comes furnished. The only things they have to buy are kitchenware and anything they need.

The sunroom leads to the backyard, fenced up with a wooden unpainted fence; it's a decent-sized yard. There's a side gate and a back gate. The back gate opens to the woods that lead to a beautiful lake. Everyone uses the lake during hot summers. Luna was already planning on getting patio furniture.

They went back inside; next to the fun was a pantry and a laundry room. Next, they check out the bedrooms. In the hall is a big closet for storage or coats. There's the second bathroom that Jack said he and Denny added.

Now, Luna doesn't have to worry about fighting for the bathroom like they did on their last stop. The first bedroom is medium-sized, with a small walk-in closet and one big window that looks out to the neighbor's house. He will use this one.

The second is the primary bedroom. An oversized walk-in closet, a bathroom, and a little side room for a lounge area or maybe to keep a crib; both bedrooms have a bed. That's all. They'll have to buy everything else. Denny assures them that the mattresses are new. Demitri believes it.
