Luna-
Rolling her shoulders, Luna looks around the hall. For some mysterious reason, she sensed that something was about to happen. She rubs her arms and flinches at every movement. The shadows in the hall seem to look over her, creating illusions.
She hasn't been scared since the Halloween party when she was six. Saito had taken her to the forest, where a Halloween event occurred every year. There was a haunted path where people dressed up and popped out of the bushes, scaring bystanders.
Luna wasn't even supposed to be there; she was supposed to take the much more friendly path inside the forest. Instead, Luna took the adult path—by accident. She spotted or thought she spotted, a ghost. Luna wandered off, getting separated from Saito. She ended up on the scary path, and all of these people dressed in costumes, which she thought were real monsters, popped out the further she went through the trial. She was balling her eyes out, and she sat in the middle of the path crying.
The monsters, or people, were trying to calm her down and say it was all fake. They tried to ask where her parents were. Saito eventually found her at the post and found that one of the employees had bought her ice cream.
His parents lectured Saito. Luna didn't feel bad; it was not her fault Saito was flirting with a popcorn girl.
That is how she is feeling right now, afraid. Afraid a monster will jump out from the shadows. She hated that it was raining, and the clouds created creepy shadows. It's sucks that the outside hallway ways don't have glass windows. They are open windows.
"Boo!"
She screamed and ran; she smacked right into the door. She crouches down and rubs her forehead.
"Whoops," Taylor laughed.
He couldn't go and see his mother. His sister, Avery, is currently busy with work. She works at an art gallery. And they are having a charity. She can't miss it.
So Taylor is sticking around. That whole conversation at dinner was for nothing.
She stood and tried to jump; this was a big whoopsie. Taylor was leaning against the railing.
She jumped, and he slid away, and over the railing, she went. Taylor hadn't even caught her; he was too in shock.
This castle has a fantastic layout. Some parts are higher, while others are lower but still at the same height. They build the castle around and through the mountain, making it look uneven. The tower where the family bedrooms are appears to be higher, and a deadly fall awaits anyone who tries to scale it. It is the only tower humans would find difficult to climb without risking their lives.
And this tower is the only tower that overlooks the valley. There's a small ravine with a river that flows down to a waterfall. It's a beautiful sight. Luther picked the right tower to make it the family tower. The rest of the towers are for guests.
Luna screamed as she fell. She doesn't know how to use her wings. She needs to practice.
"I got you," Luna didn't hesitate and clung to her savior.
"Shit!" Taylor hovers in front of her. "Sorry, I didn't think you would go over the railing. That was so fast."
She tears up. "I almost died!" She tried to jump him again. But Dante held her back.
Taylor flew out of reach distance. He mocked her. "It's not my fault you're dumb enough to jump me. Lesson learned!" He laughed at her.
Luna growled and sprouted her wings. Dante had to let her go because her wings smacked him in the face. She drops six feet before her wings flutter, saving her from splattering in the ravine. She shivers and looks up.
