Chapter 35

*****ARIELLA's POV*****

Time completely slipped away from us, there so such much to discuss and it was actually really fun to talk to someone who shared the same passion for art as I did. After two and a half hours, we finally made our way outside.

"Okay so remember no rush, but the faster you finish the design, the faster we can start making the set," Clyde handed me his sketch book, "take this and maybe you will find some inspiration on here."

"Awesome, I will work on it later today," I smiled.

"I think that's my ride over there, I have to go help my friend  set up for her art show tonight. You should come with me, we are allowed to bring a plus one and there will be a lot of important people in the art industry there."

"Oh wow, I will have to check because I have plans but this event sounds like it could really help my career. I will let you know later," I said.

"Well I hope you consider going," he placed his hand on my arm, "it would make me very happy if you show up."

"I-"

"Do you need a ride home? I can ask the driver to-"

"No it's fine, thank you though. My flat is walking distance from here." I rubbed my hands together to keep warm.

"Alright, text me later to let me know what going on. It's at 8:00. Hope to see you there, Ariella!" He quickly got into his car. The others behind him were not very happy with his uber creating traffic.

I turned and began my walk home. I had no idea what to do- this whole situation had different opportunity costs: if I didn't go, I would miss a night that could potentially advance my career but if I did go, I would miss a night of getting some work done and hanging out with Dan. Ever since we moved in together, we haven't really had a night to ourselves . But there would always be the next night, right? No, I couldn't do that to him- I don't know.

"Boo!" Someone yelled in my ear. I almost dropped to the ground but they caught me.

"What the hell Artie," I laughed as my heart practically beat out of my chest.

"Sorry, I'm so glad that it's you though or that would have been really awkward," she giggled.

"Why are you out running right now? It's freezing, aren't you cold?"

"Yeah... I can't really feel my face so I'm considering just walking back with you," She looped her arm through mine, "let's go."

Artie and I began talking about how happy we have been since we decided to move. Life seems to just be easier and so new- it's nice to live somewhere different after living in the same area for most of our life. And Dan and Phil have been so amazing at adapting their living conditions for us.

"Speaking of our boyfriends, what were they up to when you left?" I asked.

"They got called in last minute to do some interviews for BBC so they had to leave pretty quickly."

"Did they say when they would get back?" I asked as we finally reached the front door to our building.

"Nope, I hope not too late though."

"Same because I was planning on-" My phone vibrated in my pocket, "hold on."

Did you get home safe and sound? :)    -C
