Chapter 17

*****ARIELLA'S POV*****

"Are you going out tonight?" asked Artie.

"Um, I don't think so, probably just going to doodle on my new sketch pad or something." I said while washing some dishes, "How about you?"

"Phil and I might go roller skating later tonight," She smiled.

"But wait- you two aren't coordinated." I chuckled as I put my hair up into a messy pony tail.

"I know, it's going to be interesting," She laughed along with me, "Well I have to go shopping, do you need anything while I'm out?"

"No, I'm good."

"Okay, well text me if you think of something." She grabbed her keys off the counter.

"See ya later." I picked up a coffee cup and put it into the bubbles in the sink. I procrastinated on doing the dishes for the past couple of days. I have been texting Dan like 24/7, we haven't really been able to hang out since our Disneyland trip because he has been visiting all of his YouTuber friends.

When I was about arm-deep in bubbles, the door bell went off.

"Really?" I shook off my arms and opened the door with the hand towel.

To my surprise, it was Dan.

"Hey," I said trying to seem cool.

"Hello," He smiled at me.

At that second, it hit me that I looked really gross.

"Come on in," I smoothed down my fly away hairs. I shut the door and leaned against it.

"Is now a bad time?" He asked.

"Oh, uh no," I crossed my arms over my stained t-shirt. Gosh, I looked like crap and of course he looked amazing.

"Is Artie here?" he asked.

"No, she's out and about. So, what brings you here?" I asked.

"Well, I was wondering if you uh- want to go on a date?" He looked down being the shy guy that he is.

"I'd love to." I smiled.

"Great," He had a smile that went from one ear to the next, "So are you ready?"

"Wait- you mean like right now?" I tucked a strand of hair behind my ear.

He nodded while leaning against the back of the couch.

"Oh, can I go change?" I laughed.

"Of course," He grinned.

"Okay, well make yourself comfy. There is some fresh coffee in the kitchen," I told him while climbing the stairs.

"Take your time." He plopped on to the couch.

I ran up the rest of the stairs and straight into my room. I couldn't get the giant smile off my face. I'm actually going on a first date with Dan. I couldn't breathe, I was so excited. I threw on some black jeans with a white crop top. I also put on a red infinity scarf.

"Ew my hair..." I muttered while searching for my brush. I was definitely not prepared to go on a date.

"Makeup... Makeup...." I ran to the bathroom and applied eyeliner. Good enough for now.

I ran down the stairs, "Okay, I'm ready."

"Wow you look marvelous." He stood up.

"Thanks Dan," I blushed.
