Chapter 40
*****ARIELLA'S POV*****
"And here is the number to my friend down the hall. If you need anything, she will be more than willing to help," Louise held out a pink sticky note.
"Awesome, anything else I should know?" I reached out to take the note from her. When grabbing the paper, I looked down to see my sleeve rolling up, exposing my bruise on my wrist from the incident from the other day.
"Wow, what happened to you?" She asked with shock in her eyes. I glanced over into her living room to see if Dan could hear us, but he was too distracted by chasing adorable little Darcy around the room as if he were a monster. She screamed while laughing her head off. Good thing he couldn't hear the complete BS I was about to make up.
"Oh I um, I tried to catch a heavier box that was falling from a high shelf at work. Honestly it didn't even hit me that hard but hey- I bruise so easily." I tried so hard to sound genuine. I was really hoping she would by it.
"Oh believe me, I'm the exact same way."
She bought it.
"It's a curse, isn't it?" I laughed.
"It really is," she smiled, "Well I should really get going. Don't want to keep my viewers waiting too long. Darcy, come here to Mommy please."
"Are you leaving now?" She jumped up into her mom's arms and rested on her hip.
"Yes, but I will be back tonight. I wan to you on your best behavior for Dan and Ariella, okay? Remember to say please and thank you-"
"Yes Mum, you told me twice already," she giggled into shoulder.
"Oh hush," she laughed at her daughter and kissed the top of her head, "I love you crazy girl."
"I love you too."
"Now go and play," She set her down and watched as her baby ran toward her toys.
"Have a good time today Louise," Dan smiled.
"Yeah, go hug all of the sprinklerinos that you can," I handed her her bag.
"Thank you again, you two are life savers," she said as she walked out the door, "love ya guys!"
We waved from the window as she left.
"You ready for this?" I looked up at him while still waving.
"Nope," he stared straight forward with a fake smile.
"Don't worry," I looped my arm around his lower back, "we'll be fine."
He softly smiled down at me, the skin at the sides of his eyes scrunched up from his grin.
"You're too good for me," he wrapped his arms around me and kissed the side of my head

"Be careful Darcy!" I yelled as she ran into the playground. I let out a sigh of worry."She'll be fine," Dan caught up to me.
"Well if she gets hurt, I blame you. This was your idea to take her here," I laughed as I elbowed his side.
