Chapter 46*ARIELLA's POV*
I swear I have the worst luck with elevators. I thought going from the 12th floor to the lobby at this time in the morning would be a piece of cake- but nope! We stopped at nine different floors on the way down. It seemed like everyone in this whole damned hotel wanted to be in the lobby. At some point I thought with the amount of people and suitcases in that tiny confined area that we definitely exceeded the weight limit.
I gasped for air as I finally stepped out of the elevator only to find the lobby/casino to be filled with even more people. I looked around to find what was bringing in the large crowd.
"Excuse me, what's going on today?" I asked a girl carrying a tray of drinks
"The casino here is offering a big discount to college students that just graduated and today is the first day that they are valid."
Well that's just great.
"Okay thank you," I brushed past her and looked for the bathrooms. I assumed it would have been the ones right across the where the elevator let us out but those were out of service.
I pulled out my phone send Artie a quick text, "Are you sure it's the lobby bathroom? Those are closed."
She immediately replied, "Oh shit. I meant the bathrooms by the casino. They are right next to machine with a big green fish on top."
"Got it. Be there soon."
I looked around the sea of people for the glowing fish. As I looked around, I saw a familiar head of black hair from across the way. Crap! Phil was heading in my direction. Full of panic, I ran and joined a group of college students that were surrounding a slot machine.
"Hey guys, I'm just going to sneak into here," I pushed to the front of their group and hid behind the wall of people.
"I'm sorry, who are you?" A guy sitting in the game's chair looked at me.
I slid him a ten dollar bill, "No one you need to worry about."
He cheekily took the money and returned to his game, "Stay as long as you'd like."
I poked my head over these two girl's shoulders to see Phil a little closer, just looking around with a lot of curiosity. I was sure that he saw me earlier but I guess not. He did one last scan of the area and then walked back toward the elevators.
"Do you guys know where the game with the green fish is?" I asked around to the group.
"Yeah it's right there," Someone pulled me to the aisle and pointed up the glowing game
"Oh, thank you so much," I began to walk away.
"Leaving already?" Some group members asked.
"Yeah sorry- I have to go deal with something," I pushed past them and walked to the black doors.
I flung it open to see 2 different aisles of stalls that seemed to go on for miles. I had no idea which way to go.
"Artie?" I called out in a hushed matter. As to my luck, no response.
I decided to start looking down the left lane casually trying to glance under the closed doors for her typical white sneakers. A woman came out of a stall behind me and gave me a very peculiar look. I tried to explain to her that I wasn't trying to creep on people or anything, but she quickly walked away with wide eyes. God, that was embarrassing.
