Chapter 16
"Do you guys see her?" I asked searching the crowd of people. I looked over at Dan and Phil whose faces were shoved into the Disneyland map.
"Come on guys, I could use a little bit of help here, especially since you are tall." I stood up on the planter.
"I see her," Phil pointed to a very excited Artie.
"Hi guys!" Artie gave hugs to all of us.
"Got the tickets?" I smiled.
"Yep!" She fanned herself with them.
"Alright, lets get in there." I pulled on her arm like a little kid.
"Alright, alright," She laughed and distributed out the tickets. We walked over to the crowds of people and waited to get into the gates.
"Hey Artie," said the girl taking her ticket, she flashed a big smile at her. Her eyes kept switching between Phil and Artie.
"Hey Sheila," She said back receiving her ticket, "Have a good day."
"You too," She winked at her.
Oh Artie... She must have gossiped to Sheila about her crush on Phil. When Artie has her eye on somebody, she is very open about it.
Sheila took Dan's and my ticket and told us to have a magical day.
A worker asked if we wanted to take a picture.
"Ooo please? Dan and I need a new picture for the mantle." Phil pleaded.
"Alright," Artie smiled at him.
We all lined up in front of the train station with the Mickey Mouse face made out of flowers. I was on the end next to Dan.
"Okay on three..." said the photographer
Dan put his arm around my lower back. I felt my muscles tense up a little.
"One..." I looked up at Dan.
"Two..." He looked at me with a kind smile. I relaxed and turned back to the camera.
"Three." We all smiled for our photo, "Alright, here is your wristband."
"Thanks," I smiled, "So gang, where do you guys want to go first?"
"Well Velma, should we just start in Tomorrowland and make our way over?" Artie nudged me while laughing.
"That sounds good to me." Dan said.
"Lets go!" Phil began walking down Main Street with an eager step.
"Wait up Phil!" Artie walked quickly to meet up by their side.
Dan and I just laughed and then proceeded down Main Street. I was noticing how close Artie and Phil were walking together. They would occasionally look at each other and turn away with rosy cheeks. I smiled at how cute they were.
"What are you thinking about?" Dan was looking down at me.
"Oh you know, things," I looked down at my feet as we walked through the crowd.
"Like what?" He smiled.
"Well you probably know the answer to this, but does Phil like Artie?" I asked.
"Oh-uh-maybe," He winked at me.
"Ohhhh I see." I grinned.
"Does Artie like-"
"Do I even need to answer that?" I laughed.
"Should we, I don't know, do something to help them?" He asked as we turned into Tomorrowland.
