Chapter 28

*****Dan's POV*****

So Ari and I decided to grab some In-n-Out on our last day to go so that we can go home and finish packing up last minute things. But of course I finished my meal pretty quickly, so I sat at the kitchen table and worked on the book while my lovely girlfriend at her lunch.

I was typing a chapter feverishly when I heard some giggling.

I looked up and saw Ari quickly eating a fry like nothing happened.

"What?" I smirked.

"Nothing," She flirtatiously walked over to me and sat across my lap, "You are just so cute when you are thinking. You get like this Winnie the Pooh that thinking face."

I blushed at her compliments, god I'm so insecure and she makes me feel all giggly like an 8 year old boy with an elementary school crush.

"What are you working on?" She wrapped her arms around me and continued to eat her fries.

"Oh just a chapter about how Phil and I met," I continued to type.

"Cough cough Phan is real," She smiled devilishly at me.

"Oh please don't tell me you were like a huge Phan shipper before we met," I laughed.

"What? Me? Psh no," She rubbed the back of her neck with a big grin.

"Whatever," I shook my head at her ridiculousness.

"I know, I know," She kissed my cheek, "It is just a bromance."

"I-"

"Wow, I'm full," She changed the subject quickly, "Help me finish this."

"Don't mind if I do," I opened my mouth and she placed some French fries in. Wow, I love my life.

"I should go pack," she said after she rested her head on my shoulder for a couple minutes.

"Do you want help? I don't want you to move your hand too much-"

"No it's okay, I don't have too much to pack. Thanks though- oh look there is one more fry. Wanna split it?"

"Sure," I smiled as I grabbed it and put half of it in my mouth.

"Woah there Daniel, scandalous," She smiled as she leaned down and bit off the other half, "okay, I gotta go."

"I love you!" I called to her as she went up the stairs.

"Love you more!" Ari yelled back in an adorable voice.

I got to a point in our chapter to where Phil and I decided to live together which reminded me of an issue that needed to be discussed.

I looked around the corner to see Phil sitting on the couch watching the television. Ugh, he is so far away. My laziness always prevails so it looked like I was going to have to call him.

"Hello Dan," He answered.

"Can you come here please?" I asked.

"Did you leave the dinner table?"

"Uh... no"

Phil leaned forward and made eye contact with me. Rolling his eyes, he hung up on me.

"Really?" he walked over and sat down in front of me, "You could have just shouted."

"Eh, too much effort." I shrugged.

"So what did you want to talk about?" He lifted the the white bag to disappointedly find out all the fries were gone.

"I was thinking about it, now that you are an engaged man, what should we do about living arrangements?"

"Yeah, that has come into my mind as well," Phil stated.

"I know that we had planned to buy them a flat, but that was before you popped the question. I understand if you want me to move out so that you can soon be alone with your soon to be wife."

"Dan, you know how hard it is to find a flat in London, it's going to be even harder to find one near our place right now. We need to live close because of projects or collabs."

"I know, I don't know what to do," I said.

We sat there in silence for about a minute thinking about our future. Of course I didn't want to leave Phil, he was my best friend. But I also would love to live with Ariella. We would have to move in together eventually, we love each other so much. I can't imagine a future without her in it, that would just be a sad life. Another aspect to think about is the act that I don't know if she is ready to move in with me. I don't want to force her or pressure her into thinking that she has to. If she isn't ready to move in, then that's fine. Ugh, I didn't know what to do.

"I got it!" Phil said a little too loudly because I practically fell out of my chair.

"How about this," he seemed excited for his idea, "all four of us live in the same flat and once the neighbors across the way move out, then you and Ari move in together."

"That's genius!"

"It's going to be weird though, like once you do move out."

"I know, we have lived together for so long, who is going to eat my cereal?" I chuckled.

"Who says that I won't come across the hall before you wake up and take your cereal?" He pushed my arm playfully.

"I'm going to have to get a lock for my pantry."

"So," Phil scooted over, "How's the chapter going?"

"Pretty good, I just need help with the layout of the pages." I pointed to the blank pages.

"Move over," Phil cracked his knuckles and began to let his artistic eye take over.

I have always been amazed with Phil's creativity. He finished the chapter in 25 minutes and it looked brilliant. It would have taken me an hour to do it and it wouldn't have looked half as good as it did then.

"Alright do you want to start the next chap-"

BANG

"What was that?" I asked.

An even louder thud occurred upstairs.

I got up from my chair and ran up the stairs. I knew it had to be Ariella because Artie was out shopping. I swung open the door and gasped.

"Ariella?"
