I vaguely remember happiness.
All I remember is the cold hands, and heavy breathing. The chilly air twisting around us. Rain drops racing down our faces, trying to escape the steamy skin that was their race track. Happiness. I remember the touch of our fingertips, and the shock that came shortly afterwards. Our eyes met, and a thousand words were exchanged in those couple of seconds. Happiness. Our hands intertwined, and our hearts strung together. The steady beat of a drum ringing in our ears, our hearts telling us something, but we weren't quite sure what. Happiness. Tears building up behind our closed eyelids, like a shut door, and a kid running from their troubles trying to leave what they called home. Slowly, ever so slowly, our lips connected. Fireworks, flames. Happiness. Smiles arose from our lips, and fingers wiped away our tears. Hearts beating, licking lips, messy hair, wet skin. Happiness.
Yeah, I can sadly say I vaguely remember happiness.
