8 things I wish I would've known growing up:
1) Even love won't last forever, but you'll fall in love plenty more times. There will be more than one occasion where your heart gets broken.
2) Life isn't always going to be easy. There will be dark times and rough seas, but things will always get better. Keep on going, because you don't want to miss what's in store for you.
3) The way you treat others and/or act definitely matters. Karma will always make its way to you, trust me. You won't get anywhere always blaming others for your actions.
4) Don't dwell on things. Those unmet expectations, criticism, and embarrassing moments are in the past. Don't hold yourself back, just let it go.
5) Be optimistic and realistic. Always see the good in others, but recognize the not so good, as well. Celebrate every and all moments, big and small. Search for opportunities to grow in difficult times. Give positive encouragement, not negative criticism.
6) You do not need to show off your body to be seen as 'pretty' or 'hot.' Someone will see you as beautiful for who you are inside, believe me. How everyone sees you does not matter, because everyone's grave will be the same size.
7) It's 100% okay to not be okay. You can be upset, it's human nature. Sit up and cry if you'd like, rant to someone, but never, EVER, keep that bottled up. Release all that pain in a healthy way. Tomorrow is always a new day.
8) There is always much more to learn. There are thousands of places left to explore, hundreds of shows to watch, thousands of people to meet, millions of books to read, hundreds of songs to listen to. This is only the beginning of your beautiful, always growing story. Make the most of it. ♡This was originally made by @/ recovery.flower on instagram, but I changed a couple things♡♡
