Mouro (Portuguese): a race of supernatural being that that have been around since the beginning of time and, for unknown reasons, were forced underground. They work with gold, silver and gemstones and have a large stash guarded by a Cuélebres, a large scaly monster.

You're at your house one night, in your room, when you see something move in your yard from your window. You go to your window and you try to see what it is.

You see a man in your family garden, taking the vegetables. With the way the moon is, you can only see the man's silhouette, but you can tell it's a man because of how his body is shaped. Your family works hard on that garden, so you get upset with the fact that someone's trying to steal the fruits of your labor.

You go outside and the man hears the door, so he looks up. The then starts running away with what he has in his arms.

"Hey!" You shout as you start running after him. "Come back here!"

The man then jumps into a large tunnel leading underground. You stop at the edge of the tunnel and look down. It's too dark to see the bottom. Realizing this is some Alice in Wonderland shit right here, you decide to let the man go because you might never get back up to the surface.

As you're turning around, you feel something grab your ankle and pull you down the hole. You hit your head on the way down and loose consciousness.

Once you regain consciousness, you realize you're down in the tunnel system and you're laying on the ground. You hear a low hissing sound as you sit up. You look over toward the source of the noise to see a large serpentine dragon with bat wings is in front of you.

It's just...staring at you. Not moving or anything. Just staring. You look around and you see at the ceiling of the tunnel are a series of crystals that seem to be giving off light. That explains why you can see so clearly down here. You keep looking around and behind you, there's a large pile of gold, silver and jewels.

"Are you okay?"

You turn your head towards the voice to see the man who took the vegetables from your garden. With the light from the crystals, you could see his brown hair that's pulled back into a pony tail and emerald green eyes. You find him very handsome.

"I'm sorry," he tells you with a somewhat sad expression. "I just needed to gather food. And when I heard you, I got scared."

"What is that thing?" You ask, gesturing to the serpent dragon. "Why's it just starting at me?"

"That's Edmundo, a Cuélebres. And I think he believes you're a Xana."

"A wha?"

"A Xana. They're beautiful women who the Cuélebres take prisoner often."

"Why?"

"Nobody knows. Maybe they just like to look at them. I think that's why he pulled you down here."

"Wait, then, that thing thinks I'm pretty?"

He smiled at you. "I guess so. And I agree with him." You start to blush at that last comment. "I'm Leonardo."

"I-I'm (Name)," you stutter as you stand up.

The smile left his face and his expression changed to one of mild concern. "This is a lot to take in right now, isn't it?"

"Kinda, yeah."

"Let me explain. I'm a Mouro. We usually only come to the surface for food or special occasions. I ran out of food and needed to look for more. Then I found your garden. I figured I'd only take a few, just enough to not be noticeable. Then you came outside." He lowered his head. "I'm sorry to cause you all this trouble."

"Hey, it's okay." He lifts his head to look at you again. "You need food, I understand that."

He smiles again. "Thanks, (Name)."

"How long was I unconscious?"

"Let's just say it's morning now."

"What?! Aw man, I need to get back! My family'll be worried about me!"

Edmundo hisses at you. Leonardo starts yelling at him in Portuguese and the dragon stops.

The Mouro turns back to you with a sad look on his face. "Do you really have to go?"

"Yeah."

"Can you come back to see me sometime?"

You smile at him. "I'd like that. When you need food, just come over to my house and I'll get some for you, okay?"

The smile came back to his face. "Okay." Then he gets an idea. "Wait right there." He goes over to the treasure pile and starts digging through it. He finds what he was looking for and goes back over to you. "Something to remember me by."

He hands you a beautiful bracelet with an emerald stone as green as his eyes.

"I love it," you tell him as you slip in on. "Thank you, Leonardo." You give him a quick peck on the cheek and he starts blushing really hard.

"L-Let me show you the way back."

"After you."

He leads you to the exit and points you in the direction of your house, saying that's the way he went to get to your garden last night. You thank him and go on your way back home. As you go back, you admire the bracelet he gave you, promising yourself that you'll go back to see him again.

So next up is Hong Kong, but I ran into a little problem. When looking for stuff to do for Hong Kong, I couldn't find any mythological creatures that I could make a story about from specifically Hong Kong.

So are we cool with a Chinese legend instead? Yes? No? If you know an interesting legend from Hong Kong, please tell me.

If it takes a while to write, I'll probably publish Wales instead. That sound good?
