No Control
It used to be simple
Me and you
A girl and a boy
In love
Nothing else was needed
Nothing in the way
We had our own little world
Our perfect little world
But as Robert Frost says
"Nothing gold can stay."
It was when our love was tried
We could've not survived
Our love could've not been strong enough
Things could've gone wrong
But we did survive
Our bond was strong enough
It was everlasting
But things were no longer simple
Staying together was hard
Staying away was unbearable
When everything changes
It's hard to keep up
Things are no longer out of control
It's no longer effortless
To be together
The stronger we are
A promise
