FORTY ONE

Richard's POV

"Lucy, what the hell did you do?"

"Do, you really want that child?" she ask

Hindi ako nakasagot. Lumabas ako ng bahay ng hindi nagpapaalam.

I want to shout, but I couldn't

What should I do? Kung nakinig lang sana ako sa kanya dati,

***Flashback***

I was a guest in the other show sa kabilang studio,

While I heard, Dawn my ex-girlfriend is in the other side.

After my guesting. I'm on my way out when I accidentally nakasabay ko siya sa hallway,

"Hi, Chard" she greeted

I just smile at her because I feel so awkward. I look at her and I can say there's a bit change.

She gain some weight but still have curves, she's wearing loose dresses na hindi nya naman ginagawa dati. There's something different in her.

"So, kamusta na Chard?" She asked casually

"I'm fine." I answered

"How's your current relation?" said ask again. I feel a bit awkward about the question, bakit sa dinami-dami ng tanong yun pa.

"It's good, I already find the one. We're engage na nga." I said proudly, I just wan't to annoy her dahil kung hindi sana sya nakipag break sana kami pa rin.

Here happy face earlier turns into sadness.

"Really, I'm happy to hear that" she said trying to smile

"Thank you, sige mauna na ako, nandito na ang kotse ko," I said

Pero hindi pa ako makakapasok ng sasakyan when she call me again.

"Richard?" humarap ako

"Yes?"

"Can we talk for a while, I have something to tell you" she said

"About what?" I asked her

"Malalaman mo pagnakipag-usap ka saakin" she answered.

I was confused so I say Yes.

We went to the nearest restaurant. We ordered food and she, order a lot.

"Madami ata huh? Wala naman bang laman ang ref mo at puro tubig nanaman."

"Hindi naman, namiss ko lang talagang kumain sa labas"

"So ano yung , gusto mong sabihin saakin?" tanong ko sa kanya.

Napatigil sya sa pagsubo, dahil sa narinig nya. I find her cute in that way pero, nagmamadali ako. Because I will meet my girlfriend, Lucy.

There's a long silence between us. Her next words made me surprise.

"Can you love me again?" she said

I was shock pero hindi ko na lang ipinahalata

"Your fanny Dawn? Saang line yan sa mga projects mo?"

"Hindi na ako tumatanggap ng mga projects, actually earlier is my last guesting"

"You're going to quit show business?"

"Magpapahinga lang." She answered softly

And again hindi na ako nagkakamali, she's not joking

"Pwede, bang ako, na lang ang babaeng pakakasalan mo?" she ask again

"This is hilarious Dawn,I'm engage. Kung wala kanang importanteng sasabihin, aalis na ako."

Tumayo ako, at walang lingong tinungo ang kotse ko.

Nakita ko syang tumayo, sa kinauupuan nya siguro she tried to stop me, nakita kong yumuko sya at nagsimulang umiyak, hindi ko gustong makita syang nagkakaganya ,pero my decision is final,

Maybe,this is the right way para matapos na ang lahat.

Minsan na akong nangako sa isang babae, but then sinira ko ito.

And now, someone trusted me again, at ayoko nang masira ko ito ulit.

"I'm sorry Dawn, but I'm not worth it for those tears" sabi ko sa sarili ko bago ko tuluyang pinaharorot ang sasakyan.
