Sea of Tears

The ocean just got bigger

As I shed another tear

Again you were the trigger

Another day that you're not here

I look out to the deep blue sea

So stunned to realise

That so few drops have come from me

Come from my blurry eyes

How many souls have come and gone

Throughout all of history?

They rose and fell just like the sun

They've all felt misery

As salty waves lap on the shore

A thousand, thousand tears

There'll be a billion, billion more

Within the next few years

We've wallowed in self pity

Like a sponge we have been squeezed

Cried until Atlantis city

Was lost underneath the seas

We have to stop this madness

And spread a little cheer

We're drowning in our sadness

Upon this bluish sphere

Unless anyone can figure

How to stop us feeling down

The ocean keep on getting bigger

And our future, they will drown
