I used to believe that Filipinos kinda doesn't have an accent.

To specific people ofcourse, because here in PH, every location has it own accent. For example, Visayas.

(Visayas is not a place by the way, it's just a major part of PH. Like, it is divided in 3 major parts—Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. I'm lazy to explain further ahehehe.)

The provinces in Visayas have accents and one of the popular ones is "Bisaya Accent".

I know that you all know Manny Pacquiao. Now, his mother, Dionisia (we call her Mommy Dionisia or Mommy D) have this accent and it goes like this:

Sentence:
Siniko ni Mayweather si Pacman doon sa may tiyan, ano? Wrestling?

In Bisaya accent:

Seneku ni Miwider si Pacman dun sa mi te-yan, anu? Risleng?

Translation bc ily
Mayweather elbowed Pacman at his stomach, what is this? Wrestling?

IM TOTALLY LAUGHING RIGHT NOW HAHAHAHAHA

Video at the side of Mommy D singing Wrecking Ball by Miley Cyrus. Her acceeeeeent.

People don't have that accent makes fun of those who have. Like, they talk to those Bisaya people the way they pronounce words but they never get offended they just laugh.

Moving on, this is the real accent of a normal Filipino. I'll give you some sentences.

BEN WER HAB YO BEN?!

(Ben, where have you been?)

Paul, becarepaul, you might paul in the swimming paul

(Paul, becareful, you might fall in the swimming pool.)

HE INBAYTED ME OMGGGG

(He invited me OMG)

NOTHING LAST POREBER!!

(Nothing last forever)

Those were some examples. There are so many accents here you can choose so um yeah.

Oh and a note here, there are still people can pronounce a word very correctly, okay? I mean, we don't usually speak like that and I admit to myself I have that accent but it does not always I sound like that idk I wish you can get me. THAT TEXT WORD OVER THERE.

Anyway, yeah. Accents. Aksent.
