Just Filipino Things.

"Gabi Na"

If you're staying up all night without your parents bothering you it's already late then you're lucky.

Gabi = night
Na = actually, this is a conjunction. But this word depends on the sentence.

But we ain't studying how to speak Tagalog so the translation is "it's already late".

So me, as a Fangirl, you know what I do. Up all night, talking about my idols and stuff. My parents always tell me what stuff do I do during at night because everytime they look at me they saw me under my blankets with the light of the phone. Obviously my Wattpad time. Or any Fangirl stuff.

Okay, so we ain't talking about me, I'm talking about Filipino parents generally. So, I'm going to start off with Grandparents first.

When you stay up all night and they will like,

"Look, you look like a panda."
"I'm going to confiscate that phone if you don't sleep already!"
"It's already nine o'clock!"
"Look, it's already night. You should go to sleep."
"Don't laugh at night! Maybe something will happen, just go to sleep" - this sentence? You can get it when you're fangirling or what then your grandparents are so traditional or something.

Parents.

"I'm going to confiscate that phone!"
"You're going to stay up all night then what? You're going to sleep all day long?"
"I'm going to get you grounded!" -that's too much.

"You can do that tomorrow."

So yeah.

it's already 11pm here when I'm writing this and you're right. I'm currently getting scolded by my loving grandmother.

I know you all say it's my fault or what but let's get to the point.

IT'S JUST 8 O'CLOCK IT'S NOT LATE!

The normal sleeping time for them is eight. Or maybe six.

Because they said, before, six o'clock is the right time to sleep. It's already night for them when it's eight o'clock and it's already late in the morning when you wake up at eight o'clock.

I'm just like, "*flips hair* this is Manila."

Okay, seriously, no. I have respect of course.

But anyway, what I'm ranting here is the TIME.

For me, the right time to sleep is around 10 but I actually sleep around 11 to 2. Yup, I'm a vampire. Rawr.

When you just laid on your bed and text someone a bit.

"Gabi na."

You want to eat dinner at eight o'clock.

"Gabi na, kumain ka!"

"It's already night, eat!"

Because you need to sleep early.

Please, we ain't babies anymore.

But anyway, it's to early. EIGHT O'CLOCK IS TOO EARLY DONT YOU DARE TO SAY NO.

*got phone confiscated because I'm still up at 10pm*

Well that's reasonable.
