In my absence you grew
Into the daring type
The cool, harsh and hidden one
While I was away your fire grew
Cold, now replaced
By an electric light with no fuse
When I was not here you became
Renewed and free from
The burdens which I gave you
Now I am here you stand and
Coil your body away
I didn't mean to.

The Journey
PoetryHey guys, I've decided to publish an anthology, not necessarily based on my own experience, but my collected thoughts and ideas. I'm putting out a poem a day. I hope you enjoy it..
