The Stars are Right

Nakiusap si Ahya sakin na pumasok ng maaga dahil maraming investors na naka line up. I seldom come to office at 9am. I'm not in myself dahil everytime nag aattempt akong umakyat sa office ni Jade, inuulan naman ako ng phonecalls at paperworks for approval. Thanks to Batchi, coffee made me calm. But the thoughts that Jade left in me made me lose my sanity

"I will not sign those until I get the proposal, got that?!"

and I slammed the phone.

"Hey, kanina pa mainit ang ulo mo a. Chillax"

awat ni Batchi. I massaged my temples and leaned back on my chair. Pumasok si Leo at may iniabot na sangkaterbang papers

"Ma'am, si Mr. Carpio nasa kabilang linya"

"Tell him to go fuck himself!"

"Althea, ano ba? Leo, ako na kakausap sa kanya"

wika ni Batchi. Alam talaga ni Batchi na di ako makikipag usap pag mainit ulo ko. I'm not a morning person kaya si Batchi tagasalo ng trabaho ko, presence lang ang contribution ko.

"Okay na, pirmahan mo na yan. Nag usap na kami ni Mr. Carpio"

wika ni Batchi.

"Hey"

Napabalikwas ako on hearing that familiar voice.

"Balita ko mainit ulo mo. Abot nga hanggang opisina ko"

wika ni Jade.

"Kausapin mo nga yan cuz, baka makinig sayo"

si Batchi sabay labas ng opisina ko. Nagkatitigan lang kami at natawa sa isa't isa.

"I was calling you awhile ago. I suppose you're avoiding me"

"No I'm not. Akala ko you're just forwarding the proposals sakin to keep me busy. Ilang beses nakong nag attempt to go to your office pero andami kong pending na work"

Lumapit sya sa akin at naupo sa desk ko.

"I think I'm starting to miss you"

and she cupped my cheeks. I felt we share the same feelings. She leaned to kiss me on the lips

"And I missed you too"

She whispered.

"Care to discuss what happened between us? I mean, what are we now?"

"Althea, lets don't jump into conclusion"

"What do you mean? You're not bothered that we had..."

"We're two, matured consenting adults Althea. Wala namang pumilit sating gawin yun diba?"

"I still have feelings for you Jade"

"I don't wanna force you to take actions kasi ginusto ko rin yun. And I don't want to make you feel obliged kasi may nangyari between us. I want you to figure things out before deciding"

I was hanging there. Ganito siguro yung feeling ng minahal mo tapos itu turn down yung feelings mo. Ganito ba ako sa mga babaeng dumaan sa buhay ko? I thought if Jade will come back, I'll find myself. Pero bakit ganito? Things get too complicated. She was still sitting on my desk facing me ng bumukas ang pinto

"Althea, Shobe good you're both here. I need this immediately. Isa ito sa kailangan mo when you go to Hongkong"

wika ni Ahya.

"Hongkong?"

"Oo Althea. Si Shobe ang ipadadala ko for the car investment natin sa Hongkong. 5days yun. Gusto ng mga investors ipakita ang manufacturing nila. Send this back to my office once naapprove mo na"

iniabot ni Ahya ang folder kay Jade at lumabas na ng office ko. Tumingin ako kay Jade

"Ahya broke the news. I'll be on a business trip starting tomorrow"

"At nakasalalay sakin ang pag alis mo. Parang ayokong pirmahan 'to a"

"Althea"

"I know, it's business. Do we need to be away from each other?"

"It's just 5days"

"Yeah 5days. I'll find ways to make it up Jade"

JADE'S POV

2days nako dito sa Hongkong and I badly miss Althea. Ayoko namang magpahalata na nafo fall nako sa kanya. Kapag nagmemessage sya sakin, saka lang ako nagrereply. Mas maganda na sya ang naghahabol sakin.
Every lunch, kina Angkong at Ama ako kumakain to spend some time with them. Matagal na rin silang di nakakauwe ng Pilipinas, mas gusto nila magstay dito. Alam talaga ni Ama ang favorite ko--chili crabs.
After lunch, nagpaalam na ako sa kanila at dumiretso sa hotel to freshen up. On my way to my room, nagscan muna ako ng IG ko

I locked my phone and fished out my card key sa bag. Nang malapit na ako sa room ko, I saw someone sitting infront of my room, wearing ripped jeans, chucks and a hoodie, may dalang flowers. Nang maramdaman nya na may papalapit, tumayo sya at tinanggal ang kanyang hoodie

"Althea, what are you doing here?!"
