"Probably drinking"

sagot nya. Seems like she's a little tipsy and I'm starting to worry na.

"Hope you don't mind, can I join you?"

"No"

she replied. I was flustered. I smiled at her and I was about to leave, she grabbed my hand

"Hey, I mean I don't mind"

I sat down once more

"What you'll be having?"

"Beer"

She called the bartender and placed our orders. We were not talking to each other as we waited for our drinks to arrive. I poured my beer on my mug and started to drink--still we're not talking.

I've consumed almost half of the bottle and she's up for her next glass. I keep myself focused on my drink. But I'm worried on how she consume the liquor. I stopped her when she was about to order another round

"Jade, that's enough. You're drunk. Let's go, I'll take you to your room"

Good thing nag papigil sya. I took the bill from the bartender and surprisingly, Jade just had 5 margaritas

"What you were thinking Jade? Plano mo ba talagang magpakalango sa alak? Paano kung hindi kita nakita dito? Maybe some random guy or girl might take you out"

Sermon ko sa kanya habang akay akay ko sya papuntang elevator at pinindot ang going up button

"Where's your card key?"

Nakalimutan ko nga palang lasing ang kausap ko and she will not respond. Bumukas ang elevator at pumasok na kami. I took her purse and fished out her card key. She snatched it from my hand and pressed the elevator button coresponding my floor. Natigilan ako sa ginawa nya at nilingon sya. She stared at me and started to kiss me. I paused a bit and looked into her eyes

"Jade, you're drunk. I'll bring you to..."

Hindi na nya pinatapos ang ibig kong sabihin bagkus, siniil nya ako ng halik. I return it back--burning deeply. I may sound absurd if I say I didn't like what's happening between us now. Coz we know how much I missed her. Things happened so fast. Next thing I knew, we're inside my suite, ripping our clothes. I long for her. I know she's drunk and I don't wanna take advantage of her. I love her and I won't hurt her. I kissed her just like I wanted to kiss her all my lifetime. I just wanna hold her close in my arms. As I express my love for her, I lay down beside her, exhausted. I can see her perspire, smiling while her eyes are closed. I pulled the sheets while she cuddle herself on my chest. I locked my arms around her. I watch her breathing becomes heavy as she falls asleep. I draw away the strands of her hair that falls over her face

If I could keep you

I said to myself and kissed her forehead

"I love you"

I muttered and I closed my eyes to sleep

JADE'S POV

"You're afraid of heights. Why not you and Kathleen take the same floor and I'll stay on the 23rd"

wika ni Althea. I smiled at her. Ang sweet nya talaga and she anticipates what I need. Atleast kahit di ko feel na magkapitbahay lang kami ni Kathleen, I know she has no chance sneaking out with Althea. As we proceed to our suites, I can't help myself to get annoyed with Kathleen. Wala syang ginawa kundi to catch Althea's attention. Mabuti naman at hindi sya ineentertain nung isa kung hindi iwanan ko talaga sila. Di ko mapigilan ang sarili ko na hindi sya irapan ng magpaalam pa sya kay Althea. Hello, isang taong di magkikita?! Pumasok nako sa suite ko and called Bianca. Dang! 1pm pa raw sya bukas makakasunod dito sa Taipei. Napabuntong hininga nalang ako.
