It's been 2 days since we have that "dinner." But I didn't hear a word from Jade asking about Charlene. But I know she keeps that to herself. She stopped sending documents by herself and let the messenger drop it in my office. She immediately leaves the boardroom after the meeting that she seldom does. I went home and watched Miggy sleeping wearing the cap she gave. One night, I find Jade inside Miggy's room, having their stories. It still amazes me how she works wonder with Miggy. When he fell asleep, I sat on his bed and caressed his cheek

"Lagi nyang suot yang cap na bigay mo"

"I have to go, it's getting late"

"Jade, can we talk?"

I grabbed her hand when she was about to leave

"About Charlene. She was a friend way back in college"

"And?"

"That's all"

"You didn't sleep with her?"

"We kissed... once"

Jade crooked her brows while she throws me a stare

"Okay, she kissed me coz she's drunk. But after that, we laugh at it. I never see her as a prospect"

"I don't mind who you date. I just wanna make sure you pick the right girl. Don't forget that I'm still your bestfriend"

"Yeah, I got that"

tanong ko kay Charlene.

"Andun na yung family ko. Ako lang 'tong pasaway na ayaw magstay sa Australia"

as she gulped her beer.
I saw Bianca and Jade enters the bar

"Hey"

I greeted them. They sat infront of us.

"By the way, you know Bianca na diba? This is Jade. Jade, this is Charlene"

"So, you're Charlene, the college friend. Heard so much about you"

"Finally, I meet you Jade, the famous ex girlfriend. Na never naka move on si Althea"

and they shook hands.

"Why don't you guys give yourselves a try. You two look good together"

Jade teases as I hand her a mojito that she immediately belt down.

"Mahirap ma inlove kay Althea. Marami kang kaaway back then. And oh, did you tell her that we kissed?"

Bianca and Jade stared sharply at Charlene. Madaldal na sya because of the alcohol in her system. I feel that I'm perspiring a lot sa mga revelations ni Charlene at responses ni Jade. I just hope Charlene won't make up stories or else.

"I just broke up with my boyfriend that time. I remember Althea telling me he's not worthy. I tagged along sa isang acquaintance party para mapreoccupy and I got myself drunk. When Althea was about to bring me home, I kissed her. Since then, I was sorry with what happened"

she rested her head on my shoulder while reminiscing. I looked at her and shook my head. When our eyes met Jade who was staring blankly at us, she immediately removed her head on me

"Oh sorry Jade, I didn't mean to. You're not jealous aren't you?"

Charlene asked.

"Not at all"

Jade grabbed my beer and chuckled.

"Don't worry Jade, Althea's not my type"

then Charlene laughed.

"Oh"

was Jade's only response before chugging my beer. Me and Bianca stared at her.

Lasing na si Charlene kaya si Batchi na ang naghatid sa kanya pauwi. I don't wanna add injury kung ako pa mag ooffer maghatid. Jade's face lit up. Mukhang naliwanagan na sya about me and Charlene. As Bianca, Jade and me enjoyed the night and waited for Batchi, I noticed a guy on the corner, drinking couple of beers. He's looking towards us at ng mapansin nya na nakatingin ako sa kanya, he raised his bottle and drank.

"I know him"

I whispered. He waved his hand as an acknowledgement that he sees me and puffed his cigarette.

"Ladies, would you please excuse me for awhile?"

and I walked toward his table.

BATCHI'S POV

"Sus, sumuka pa si Charlene pagkababa namin ng kotse. Dapat talaga hindi umiinom yun, lapitin ng disgrasya"

"Di ka naman ba nya hinalikan?"

pag iinterrogate ni Bianca.

"Naku, di ko sya type!"

"Mabuti naman cuz, kung hindi, laba kana naman"

"Teka, asan si Althea?"

at uminom ako ng brandy.

"May kinausap lang"

sagot ni Jade at nag ala giraffe sa paghahanap kay Althea.

Nilingon ko kung saan nakaturo si Jade. Inayos ko ang salamin ko dahil hindi ko masyado makilala yung kausap ni Althea. Teka, parang I know that guy, oo, sya nga!

"Kanina paba sila nag uusap?"

tanong ko na may kaba.

"Mga 15minutes na siguro. Bakit, sino ba yun?"

tanong ni Bianca.

"Isn't he familiar to you Bianca? If I'm not mistaken, sya si Tommy Alvaro, tatay ni Miggy"

"Yeah, he is Tommy"

sagot ni Bianca. Napatingin sa amin si Jade at tumingin kina Tommy.

"What is he doing here?"

I muttered.
