Chapter 6: Back Together

Everyone sat quietly as the professor lecture us.  When I first came in, I was in shock how many students there were.  The front of the class was where the professor's desk and a whiteboard were.  Everything on the front was on a stage while the desks facing the front had stairs going up on the side of the alley way.  Students already occupied the seats when I came in, and it seemed like about one hundred students in the class.  I sat in the middle level of the class, and I was between Lulu and Jack while Nunu sat next to Jack.  Lulu suggested that it was better if I sat away from Nunu.  I'm guessing she doesn't want us fighting again like the last time he betrayed me.  We were just taking down notes until Jack grabbed my hand gently.  I widen my eyes at him and snatched my hand away from his hand.

"What are you doing?"  I asked and Jack just smirked.  I saw Nunu's anger build up because a second later, he crush his water bottle with his bare hands. Damn, what was his problem?  We continue to take notes until class ended.  All of us exited the classroom as we talked aimlessly. 

"Hey Annie?" called Jack as I stopped him and looked at him curiously.  "I have to ask you something."  I could feel the nervousness and tension in his voice.  He didn't even met my eyes when he started talking. 

"Something wrong Jack?" I asked and he made a slight chuckle.  He walked up to me, as he became very close to me, causing me to slightly blush.  I felt pink patches on my cheeks as I felt Nunu's presence growing stronger. 

"Would you go out on a date with me?"  asked Jack.  I caught a glimpse of Nunu and Lulu's state of shock and surprise.  I was also shock myself, even after Jack asked me out of the date. 

"W-wait w-w-what?" I stuttered as I noticed that my voice was shaking a little bit.  I want to make sure I didn't hear it wrong. 

"I asked if you would do out on a date with me,"  replied Jack and I stared at him shyly.  My cheeks exploded with heat and my heart skipped a beat.  I can't believe he asked me out to a date.  I have never been on a date before.  B-but I have don't have any feelings for Jack, should I accept? 

Face it, you love him.  Give up your feelings for him.

I quickly shook my head to throw away my thoughts.  No, that's not true! 

"Aww, it was worth a try," said Jack sadly as he turned away from me until I grabbed his arm. 

"Wait.  I was just shaking my head because I couldn't believe you asked me that,"  I said as I laughed nervously and Jack's mood change with a smile.  Great, now what?  All of a sudden, Lulu waved her hand wildly behind Jack.  She nodded wildly, signaling me to keep going.  I sighed annoyingly and rolled my eyes at her.  I gave Jack a warm smile, but stepped back a few steps to keep my distance from him.  To be honest, he was good looking too.  He was good enough to go out with.  "I will accept your request to go out on a date with me."  Jack's eyes lit up like bright sparks that was going to blow.  I felt Nunu's presence soften.  I look over to Nunu and a flash of hurt and sorrow appeared on his face. 

"Yes! Thank you for giving me a chance!  How about at 6?" asked Jack and I nodded gently.  He chuckled excitingly as he winked at me.  "Alright then, meet up me at the front of the entrance of the school.. See ya."  He walked towards his next class.  "Come on Nunu.  Let's go to our next class." 

"I'll be right there.  I need to do something," replied Nunu without looking at Jack.  Instead, he stared at me intently with his sad, innocent blue eyes.  He wants something from me.  I could feel it. 

"Alright then bro.  See you later,"  replied Jack as he walked down the hall.  Lulu came up to me from behind and whispered softly. 

"I guess I'll leave you to it," said Lulu as she paused and looked at me worriedly.  Lulu was starting to care for me a little bit more.  She had my back a little more but up to this point, she can't help me with this one.  It was time for me to face Nunu for myself.  I nodded at her and she nodded back and walked past Nunu for her next class.  Everything was quiet.  The hallway was empty as Nunu and I stood facing each other with our eyes met. 

"What do you want Nunu?"  I asked as Nunu walked up to me.  What was he doing?  I waited for him to stop, but he didn't, he just kept walking towards me.  I widen my eyes, as he walked closer.  I kept backing away from him until I felt a hard wall behind me.  Nunu walked even closer to me as he forced me to look into his eyes by grabbing my chin.  "Nunu? W-what are you doing?" 

All of a sudden, I appeared in front of Nunu who was really close but not against the wall.  I felt Nunu's hand on my shoulder in comfort as he looked at me worriedly. 

"You alright?  You blacked out on me," said Nunu and I rubbed my forehead in confusion.  What the hell just happened? 

"What?"  That was all a dream?  When I realized it, I felt my cheeks burning again.  Why? Why would I dream something like that? 

Thinking about getting sexy with Nunu eh?  You're such a cute slut.

Shut up dirty brain.  I have no feelings for Nunu even though he was super hot and attractive.  I still hated him for betraying me.  He promised he wouldn't get into any relationship.  Remembering that moment ached my heart as Nunu interrupted my thoughts by revealing an object from his left hand that was hidden this whole time.  It was a brown teddy bear that had an eye scratched out.  I widen my eyes at the teddy bear, recognizing it.

"Tibbers?"  Nunu nodded as I snatched it away from him.  I gave Nunu a cold dirty look.  "What the hell?  Did you plan this stupid prank?  What were you doing with Tibbers you frea-"  Nunu grabbed my wrist and covered my mouth quickly and kept it there.  He looked around the hallway for a second, then looked down to meet my eyes.  It was kind of dark, and Nunu's bright blue pretty eyes glowed.  I tried to fight out of his grip, but it was no luck.  His cold hands covered my mouth shut.  Nunu gave me a sad look.

"Look, I wasn't here to cause trouble.  I just want to return your Tibbers.  I found him back at our first class when you left your seat," replied Nunu and I stopped struggling against his grip.  I looked away from him in sorrow as he lift his hand away from my mouth softly and we kept quiet. 

"Sorry if I offended you with those harsh words,"  I reassured and he simply smiled friendly. 

"It's okay.  I deserved those harsh words after I had betrayed you back then when I kissed that girl. I'm really sorry about that,"  said Nunu and I widen my eyes with surprise.  H-he apologized.  I thought he would never apologize me after I saying how much I hated him.  There was an awkward silence between us and we stared at each other in our eyes blankly.  When I realize what was happening, my cheeks boiled like pots as I pushed him out of the way. 

"I-I'm so sorry.  I didn't mean to be under you like this. I-"  Nunu interrupted me again with his hand stroking the top of my head.  "Nunu!"  My cheeks heating up again but my cheeks started hurting.  I sighed and rolled my eyes as I gave him a playful smile.  I can't believe I'm allowing him to stroke my head like I'm a cute puppy or something.  He eventually stop stroking and simply smile. 

"So we can start fresh again and become friends again?"  asked Nunu. 

"Yeah.  Sure, why not?"
