Chapter 10:  Amumu Revealed

Lulu

Tears stream down on my cheeks as I laid down on my comfy bed, staring at the white smooth ceiling above.  My body begged for some relaxation after the enraging moment that had happened with my jerky human brother.  Its funny how I even have a foolish human as a brother, even or a pretty yordle like me.  Was I the one who was wrong?  Apologizing to Nunu seemed to easy and to direct, thinking that he would never accept my apology like that.  A sigh forced out of my mouth as I rolled to my side and check my phone. The phone lit up with my bright wallpaper of Nunu and I having fun like ordinary loving siblings.  I stared at sadly as my heart broke into pieces slowly, telling me that I made the wrong stupid decision of pushing Nunu away from me.  As I sat on my bed staring at my phone, the door opened silently behind me, catching my unaware attention.  There stood Jack who carried a knocked out Annie in his arms.  I widen my eyes in alert and stared at Jack with a concern look.

"Jack!  What did yo-"  Jack hushed me loudly as he walked over to Annie's bed and placed her body on the bed gently.  Jack looked over to me and whispered,

"Don't you worry Lulu.  She's just sleeping." I sighed in relief as I watched Annie sleep peacefully.  Jack signaled with his hands to ask if he could go and I nodded in response.  He exited the room quietly and my eyes focused on the sleeping Annie.  What's so special about Annie that Nunu sees?  All she does is summon fire and a dangerous flaming teddy bear.  What am I saying?  Annie was my best friend and I'm already talking bad about her, what a great friend I am.  Checking the time on my phone, I noticed that it was already midnight so I should probably go to sleep now.  I looked at my desk with a lit up lamp and a fifteen page fiction I wrote by hand laid on the desk, waiting to be written again as my hand began to hurt from looking at it.  As I let out a soft silent yawn, my eyes began to shut and my body felt weak.  I laid down on my bed and my eyes shut close as I fell fast asleep.

The bright morning light hit my closed eyelids, causing my dark vision to be all bright red and interrupted my peaceful sleep.  My sleepy eyes fluttered open slowly as I sat up gently from my comfy bed and looked out the clear bright window.  Seeing through the window from our dorm was sort of amazing.  The whole campus with full of our students walking around could be seen outside our window.  I looked over to Annie and noticed that she hasn't changed her casual clothes from last night after her date.  Looking closely in shock, I saw a green mummy sleeping in Annie's arms while the mummy was hugging Tibbers which looked funny because Tibbers in teddy bear form was about his size.  I blinked a couple of times to make sure I wasn't hallucinating, but he was still there sleeping in Annie's arms peacefully.

"Amumu? Is that you?"  I asked and Amumu slightly moved a little bit.  The little green mummy yawned and sat up as he looked around the room tiredly until his eyes met mine.  He gave me a friendly smile.

"Oh, hey Lulu,"  Amumu responded but I still stared at him in shock.  I couldn't believe Amumu was here in this world, the human world!  All of a sudden, Annie began waking up too, as she yawned and sat up like Amumu.  Looking around, she doesn't notice Amumu that was on her bed but she noticed me instead.

"What's all the ruckus?" asked Annie and I simply pointed at the smiling Amumu who was watching us amusingly.  Annie's gaze followed my finger and her eyes widen in surprise.  "Amumu?  What the heck are you doing here?" Amumu laughed nervously as he sat on the edge of Annie's bed with his legs hanging down.

"I felt like league without you is not going to be the same, so I hid inside your backpack without you noticing until you started sleeping.  I felt like surprising you that I'm here and it looks like you did get surprised,"  Annie frowned at his answer, certainly not pleased by the little mummy.

"If the Institute of War find out about this, they're going to punish me even more.  Do you want that Amumu?" asked Annie and Amumu looked away nervously as he scratched his head in confusion.  Funny thing is, Annie never checks her backpack and she might want to incase anything wants to sneak inside.

"Um, no but I just wanted to be with you," replied Amumu as he blushed shyly.  I found it cute that Amumu still had feelings for Annie even if he was still a small yordle mummy.

"Damn it Amumu!  It's dangerous here! You should go back right now."  I watched them amusingly as they argued back and forth until it got repetitive and boring so I took out a book I was reading earlier and read it silently.  All of a sudden, the door swung open and Nunu walked in with his basketball shorts and T-shirt on.

"What's with all this noise?"  asked Nunu as I lowered my book until I could see Nunu standing there in confusion.

"Welcome to the party."  I called out as I rose my book back up to eye level and continue reading.

Annie

Today was Friday, one of the best days in the week and Nunu wanted to be the best Friday of our lives whether it's terrible idea or not.  He invited us to a school party which seemed kind of fun.  Even the idea got Lulu to jump for joy.  After the Amumu incident, we all changed into something casual for school and strolled out of the dorm.  As we exited the dorm, the sun shone on our bright colorful clothes.  All three of us wore our usual color; Nunu wore blue, Lulu wore purple, and I wore red.  Amumu on the other hand didn't need clothes to change because he was a mummy and was technically dead like I always say.

"Are we there yet?"  asked Amumu who rode on my red backpack which I was carrying on my back.

"Not yet Amumu,"  I replied as we headed to our first class together.

I settled my backpack down on my seat and stared at Amumu with a concerned look.  He stared back in confusion who's probably wondering where we were.

"Look Amumu.  I want you stay inside my backpack at all cost, you hear me?" I warned and Amumu simply nodded with a reassuring smile.  I smiled back as I zipped up my backpack.

"Wait, can I play with Tibbers?"  asked Amumu and I rolled my eyes playfully.

"Fine, but don't make him angry or else he'll explode,"  I warned once again and he nodded with a joyful grin as he disappeared into my backpack quickly.  I sighed in relief as I settled my backpack next to my seat and sat down in thought.  I'm actually pretty happy Amumu was here, but troubled at the same time. I couldn't believe Amumu would risk his life just to be with me in this dangerous world.  As soon as all the students walked into the classroom, Jack greeted me with a friendly smile.

"Morning Annie," greeted Jack as I saw Lulu and Nunu giving each other uneasy looks behind Jack.  Focusing on Jack, I forced a warm smile as I wondered why Lulu and and Nunu looked so uneasy when Jack came over.

"Morning Jack,"  I greeted noticing my voice came out tired.  I guess my lazy body is still tired which also might explain all the yawning I did on my way to class.

"Are you planning on going anywhere today?" asked Jack.  Wow, does this guy always ask this?  We already had the date and now he's asking if I had anything planned today.  I felt like he is being a little clingy.  I frowned at his request as I looked over to Nunu and Lulu who was staring at me intently, making sure I said no as an answer.  I sigh frustratingly as I shot them an innocent look, then focused my attention back to Jack.  All three of us did promise a party with the whole school.

"Sorry, I'm hanging out with Lulu and Nunu today,"  I replied and Jack frowned sadly as he looked back at Lulu and Nunu as they looked away from Jack quickly, pretending that they weren't eavesdropping on our conversation.  Why were they against Jack so much?  He's clingy but he's still human.  I see nothing wrong with Jack to be honest unless they know something I don't.

"Is it okay if I hang out with you guys too?" asked Jack.  Nunu was about to drink from his half empty water bottle until the question caused him to nearly spit it while Lulu turned her attention to us with a shocking look.  They both shook their heads furiously but I didn't find it fair to not invite Jack.  What's so bad about him coming anyways?  I looked at Jack with a friendly smile.

"Sure.  Come by my dorm at 6."
