Annie

Chapter 21: The Deceiver and The Master Tactician

We sneaked inside Noxus with ease, as the guard on the watchtower were distracted. I stayed close by Katarina so I wouldn't get lost. I have never been to Noxus before. As a child, I always thought the place was scary looking full of scary people. We entered through a giant door and ahead of us was a long hallway with windows on the walls of the hallway as the sunset shine through the window, making the hallway bright. At the end of the hallway, A figure stood before us, having his back turned. I felt Katarina's hesitation as she gripped my hand in panic.

"Annie, you need to get out of here, now." I looked at her in confusion and pulled my hand away from her grip.

"I'm not turning back Kat. I'm not leaving you to die here," Katarina turned to me with anger at first, but she soften with a sad look.

"He knows we're here. If he knows that you are here, he'll try and kill you. I don't want you to die, not after we grew a bond to each other as sisters. And either way, I'm supposed to be responsible for saving Talon, not you." I refused to run away from her. I wanted to stay and help her whether it was her responsible only or not. "Please kiddo, I'm trying to help you."

"I'll stay here and promise that I won't come out. I'm sure he won't see me from here," I whispered without attempting to look at her in the eye. She sighed softly as she patted my head like if I was a puppy, causing me to blush.

"I'll be back. If I don't survive this battle, run, run as far as you can and don't look back," Those words made me shiver. I didn't want to accept that she wasn't going to survive. I hug Katarina tightly as a tear fell on my cheeks.

"I will never forgive myself if you die." Katarina softly broke hug between us and gave me a warm smile. She walks towards the figure slowly as I saw her hand gripping her daggers tightly. Stay safe big sis.

Katarina

I walked towards the figure slowly and stopped with a good amount of distance between us.

"I thought you would never come," The voice sounded familiar, almost like this person has worked with me before. "I'm guessing the only reason you came here is to get your brother,"

"It's been a long time Swain. Now where is he?" He chuckled and turned around with an amusing smile.

"If you want him so bad, then tell me something," He walk around me in a circle, looking at me with his eyes traveling up and down. "Why did you leave Noxus for that frost archer. We gave you everything you needed, power. Yet, you refused to take it and ran away. But look at you now. You're here trying to save your brother from getting killed with that child." His eyes moved away from me and towards Annie behind me. I hesitated as I wondered how he was able to do that. I have sure felt Annie's presence hiding behind the entrance door, yet he knows that she was there. Even I felt Annie shivering, she must've been hearing this. Swain noticed my hesitation and took it as an advantage. "I can see your fear Katarina. I bet you're wondering how I was able to detect the child. That doesn't matter. All it matters that ever since you left Noxus, you are much weaker than last time, making you an easy target."

All of a sudden, Swain gets his cane and hits me hard between my legs causing me to flinch in pain. I held my hand against it, nearly falling. Swain used Nevermore as it rose from te ground and trapped me in place. The talons of Nevermore stabbed through my body as blood came out my mouth and my body became numb. I screamed in pain, struggling out of his talons, but I was too weak to move.

"Oh dear, are you hurt my dear? Do you need help?" Shut up Swain you bastard! I struggled some more but it didn't help. I stopped and thought about what had Swain had said. Was he right about me being weak? Did Ashe and the others hold me back? Maybe I'm too weak to fight Swain. I hope Annie already started running, I didn't want that kid to die yet. She still has a lot to learn. "You're late." I looked up to see who Swain was talking to and I saw a female figure appear from the shadows. It was the deceiver, LeBlanc as she walked towards us. LeBlanc kept her eyes on me and her evil smile.

"I'm sorry Master Swain. I was running into troubles but I took care of it."

"Good. Did you learn that spell we were talking about."

"Indeed. It will truly make her suffer." A smirk appeared on Swain's face.

"Good. Please finish off Katarina while I attend to a business trip," LeBlanc smile grew wider.

"With pleasure." Swain sent the talons back to the ground and my body dropped to the hard floor. My body was still numb and wounded as I slightly move from the ground. Swain and LeBlanc exchanged nods as Swain walks away. I tried to get up from the ground but LeBlanc shoots bolts of magic at my back. I flinched once again but I tried my best not to scream in pain by biting my bottom lip. LeBlanc slightly laughs as she grabbed my hair and lifted me until her face was close to mine. "Poor Katarina, how does it feel to be on the losing side bitch. You have always been the best and won every game. everybody kept saying how sexy and hot you looked and I can't stand it! But not anymore, because you will suffer by my next spell and will die sooner or later. It's my turn to get revenge." she slams my head down on the floor as I felt her casting some kind of spell out of her staff. "Say goodbye Katarina." I guess this is the end of me. I only hope Annie was safe and sound back with the others. I loved her as a sister... too much already. I closed my eye, waiting for the final blow. I waited and waited, but nothing happened until I heard a scream and cry for help. My eyes opened quickly as I turned to the sound and stared in shock.

"A-Annie!" Annie laid on the ground shivering as her chest glowed purple. Her face was full in pain as she cried in pain. "N-No. It, can't be, please don't... Why? Why!" I stood up and rushed over to her, hoping she wasn't dead.
