Chapter 8: The Date
I exited my dorm room quietly and Nunu leaned against a wall of the hallway while looking down on his bright phone that shone his face. His blue eyes sort of matched the color of the screen as a reflection was shown on his eyes.
"Nunu? You're still here?" I asked as Nunu looked at me and stared at my outfit impressed. I hope he doesn't have any dirty thoughts in his mind right now. If he is, I'll just slap him right here.
"You look cute in that," replied Nunu, causing me to blush slightly. The hallway was empty and filled with silence as our voices echoed. Nunu wore a plain red T-shirt and a gray sweat pants with slippers. I guess his purpose of coming here wasn't for me, it was for Lulu. He knows I'm on a date with Jack anyways.
"Thanks," I simply replied. "I have to go meet Jack at the now," Nunu nodded at me and I walked past him, but he held me back by grabbing my arm gently. He gave me a worried look as if I was in danger.
"Be careful of Jack. Ever since you came along, something is telling me that something isn't right about him. Just wanted to let you know," said Nunu. Then, he walked into the room, leaving me in the empty hallway. Was that a warning from Nunu about Jack or was it just me? Jack was a really nice guy, but can be flirty at times. I don't know why I should try and avoid Jack. I was about walk towards the exit, but then a loud whisper hushed in my ear, startling me in fear.
Don't you dare break the promise you made with Nunu.
I looked around to see who was sneaking behind me just to whisper into my ear. I didn't see anyone except for the long hallway with many doors that lead into other rooms. What the hell was that? I quickly exited the girl's dorm, hoping I wasn't going crazy. As soon as I exited the dorm, I notice how the stars and the full moon shone brightly, making the night brighter than usual.
After a long walk, I arrived at the front entrance of the school, I saw a dark figure sitting on the steps of the stairs which lead to the admissions office. He sat there alone as he looked out at the street in thought.
"Hey Jack!" I called out and it somehow scared Jack because he jumped with startle and turned to me nervously. When I realized what I had done, I looked at him innocently. "Sorry for scaring you, I didn't mean it." He chuckled slightly as he stood up before me. It was sort of hard to see his hair because his dark black hair blended with the night. He had his hair combed to the side, while the moon shined on his brown eyes. Thank god I didn't over wear because Jack also wore casual clothes. He wore black sweater with a hoodie and a white swoosh line on the middle of his dark sweater. He also wore dark skinny jeans and blue shoes with the brand "Vans" printed on it. He looked nice, but not as sexy as Nunu was. And there goes my dirty mind thinking about Nunu again.
"Hey Annie, y- you look great," stuttered Jack as he looked at my outfit in surprise. Everyone has been complimenting my outfit lately, even it looks like a simple outfit.
"Thanks Jack. So, where are we going for our date?" I asked curiously and Jack just smiled friendly.
"It's a surprise. Let's go to my car," replied Jack as we walked to the school's parking lot. As we talked, we manage to have short conversations. "So how do you know Nunu and Lulu?" asked Jack and it the question I guessed he was going to ask. However, I see no reason to lie or avoid the question.
"We practically knew each other ever since we were only kids until all three of us got separated," I answered softly as we passed by a street light that flickered. I half lied. I only knew Nunu since we were kids, but I didn't know Lulu. We battled each other at that time, but I have never talked to her. I feel bad for leaving Tibbers in my dorm with Lulu. Tibbers really hate Lulu because of her tricks she pulls on Tibbers. It really pisses my bear very much, but too bad he still can't get revenge on Lulu even though he tried with many attempts. We manage to arrive to his black lamborghini as he opened the car door of the passenger's side for me. Wow, what a gentlemen. I smiled at him friendly and got in. Then, he entered through the driver's side and started the engine of the car.
