Chapter 18

I was prepared to see flocks of paparazzi outside the hotel, but not a massive crowd of them fighting and pushing each other around in a very disorderly fashion, and I'm talking more disorderly than the average paparazzi scuffle. As soon as I get out the car, Cam puts an arm around me to shield me from the camera flashes, and three other security guards walk with us to restrain the careless paparazzi who are getting a little too close for comfort. I feel really claustrophobic as the cameras jostle around me and people keep shouting questions at me, I hear lots of them shouting questions about Zach and Nate and I put a hand over my face to shield me from the flashes as Cam leads me into the hotel.

The pre-filming party is taking place at the Beverly Hilton, this hotel is absolutely divine. I have been here before with Cait and I loved it.

Cam and my security leave to go meet with their friends once I am securely inside. I wander into the hotel lobby and see people milling around, it looks as though the large conference room is being used as the main base of the party since the doors are wide open and I can hear the faint sound of music. I recognise a few faces from some films I have seen, as well as a few people that have been at shows I've modeled in. 

I make my way into the conference room and have my name ticked off on invite list. There is music playing and people are talking leisurely and milling around, but the room isn't stuffed at all due to it's massive size. A waiter walks up to me with a tray of champagne glasses and I take one from him with a thanks. He looks as though he's internally battling with himself and his cheeks are flushed as he remains in his spot.

"I am a big fan of your work" he states, he nervously rearranges his black rimmed glasses with the hand he isn't balancing the tray of champagne on. I smile, I mean I am a model for women's wear, often lingerie, but hey, I know what he really means by that.

"Thank you" I say in a friendly tone. He pulls his hand away from his glasses and sticks it out to me,

"I'm Tyler" I take his outstretched hand,

"It's very nice to meet you, Tyler. I'm Selena" he chuckles,

"I knew that" 

"Very true" I take a sip of my champagne. Tyler is still stood in his position, he is around 5'9 with blonde hair, freckles and brown eyes and definitely shy. I spot Steve across the room waving frantically at me and ushering me over, I nod.

"I'm just going to join my director" I tell Tyler, he nods. "It was nice meeting you" I add, I don't want him to feel awkward at all.

"You too, I am sure we will meet soon." I frown in confusion at the sudden change in his tone, as well as his strange words, however when I turn to ask him what he means he's gone. I glance around but he isn't in sight. I shake my head a little, stop being paranoid Sel. 

I make my way over to Steve and he pulls me into a hug. He is standing with a very tall girl and a set of twins.

"Selena, you made it" we pull back from the hug.

"Wouldn't have missed it for the world. It is so crazy out there, though" I state. He nods,

"It is very manic, thankfully there's not a lot of crazy teenage fans after me so I made it in pretty easily" He then looks towards the group of people he is with. "Guys, I'm sure you all know who Selena is, but Selena I want to introduce you to Sam and Oliver- the Jenkins twins, and then Erin. Oliver is playing the third point of the love triangle between yours and Zach's character, and Erin is playing your character Eliza's best friend, Louise" he explains, I exchange brief hugs with the three of them. Both Sam and Oliver have cropped brown hair and are quite tanned, however Oliver is in a fitted navy blue fitted suit and Sam is in just jeans and a t-shirt. Erin has an air of natural beauty about her with her light brown hair and fair skin, her height has definitely took me by surprise the most though since she's got to be taller than 6'1, and she has no heels on.
