A/N

Hi all!! I know, another update! I managed to get this chapter finished today whilst sitting in the sun. The weather has been amazing these last few days here in England!

I hope you are all having a great week and that school isn't too bad (for those who are back now.)
I will be off to university next week so I am not sure if I'll be able to keep a consistent upload schedule going, but I will try and get a new chapter up whenever I can! Thank you for all the continued support! It doesn't go unnoticed.

Happy reading!

Chapter 31

"Look, we need to talk about what happened."

An extended period of silence cloaks the room.

"Zach, we have. With the police."

He shakes his head. "Yeah, seperately. We haven't spoken to each other about it. Just the two of us."

I look away from a brief moment, internally cringing at the thought of telling Zach about Tyler's perverse words and actions.

We both had to give seperate statements to the police at the hospital an hour or so ago, followed by the doctors doing another checkup on the two of us to ensure we were well enough to go home. There was no need for an overnight stay, much to my relief.

My hotel room has been closed for investigation and my parents thus insisted I go back with them to their hotel suite. Thankfully, Zach intervened and swept me off to his penthouse- which is where we are now; situated in the dimly lit lounge area as he tries to pry information from me.

"Why don't you want to talk about this? We were both there remember, I just wasn't conscious for most of it. I want to know what happened, Sel."

I look down at my hands which are on my lap, fiddling with the soft blanket that Zach draped around me earlier.

"Not a lot happened." I lie.

Other than sexual assault.

It really has affected me a lot more than I initially thought it had. I guess I've had more time to think about it now.

Zach sighs. "Well now I'm definitely not letting up. I can tell you're holding something back."

I sigh. "Always so stubborn."

He shrugs. "I get answers though."

His eyes are set on me, unmoving.

I meet his stare in challenge yet he's definitely not budging on this anytime soon.

I frown.

He mirrors my frown.

"Okay! We can talk about it. Just stop with the imitation. It's creepy." I grumble.

He chuckles. "I could never be creepy."

"I could think of a few situations..."

"Hey! Stay on topic."

Damn it.

"Fine, but it's really not that thrilling."

He doesn't acknowledge my comment and sits down next to me on the plush, black leather sofa; folding one of his legs up on to the sofa so that his body is facing towards mine.
