"Come on April, I'm not waiting forever," I called out through the door.

"No! I'm never coming out; I look like a fucking my little pony," she wailed. We had been at this for half an hour, me trying to convince her to leave the bathroom and April coming up with new ways to say she looked like a fairy with pink hair.

"Get your ass out here right now!" I tried to assert myself, it was hard because every time I caught a glance of her, I would find myself giggling.

"NEVER!" dammit, this was becoming tiring. Alright, time for the big guns;

"You come out now and we can go buy some hair dye before the training session; that sound good?" It was like trying to get through to a child, only that child had the strength of at least three men when angry.

"Really?"

"Really, really," the door cracked open; April sniffled and wiped hers eyes with the back of her hand.

"Okay then, but hurry because I don't want to look like an oompa loompa forever." Now the only problem was getting into town. We dashed back to my room, weaving around the forgotten corridors to avoid people.

"Shane!" I banged on the door, letting the vibration shiver through my hand, "I need the keys, please," the door swung open and a very unhappy Michael stood in boxers.

"I'm trying to fucking sleep Sum, what the hell!"

"Get the keys dickwad," I snapped back, not in the mood for his early morning routine- sleep like the dead. He shuffled back into the dark room, moving like an old lady and busied himself; when he returned with keys in hand, he practically threw them at me and slammed the door, "Well I never!"

The makeshift carpark was empty, like zombie apocalypse empty; it was only seven in the morning, the sun still ducked behind the forest in an attempt for rest but he would soon be rising high in the sky. The world had a sort of ereathral glow, a kind of blue haze that settled over my eyes; we meandered over to the SUV, popping the doors open and silently starting the car.

The drive was quiet; the early morning sun was starting to peak over the hills and light up the never ending fields. Houses were far and few, sitting in little cleared patches of dirt; the old chipping paint and run down trucks set the town back, what felt like fifty years. How on earth could Greyson let this happen is beyond me, but who am I to judge. The closer we got to town, the more houses started popping up and the more modern it got; birds chirped in the tall, old trees, singing the morning to life. In town a few people moseyed about their day, posting and collecting the essentials; we pulled into a spot right outside the only supermarket there. There was only three other cars around, it almost seemed like a ghost town.

The air inside was chilled, taking the edge off the summer's heat from my skin; April pulled at my arm, dragging me down the aisles until we stood in front of the hair dyes.

"Maybe I should change it up a bit, go for like blonde or something?" I gave her an incredulous look,

"You did change it up, remember the pink?" that was not appreciated and if by the look she gave me was any indication, I should probably keep quiet. "I think the red is a more natural colour; that way when your hair grows, you won't have to dye it again," I suggested. She thought for a moment, taking the different colours in her hand and comparing the boxes.

"Hmmm, maybe your right. I might grab a couple boxes, just in case I change my mind," she placed several colours into our basket: blonde, red and brown. She milled over the aisle, looking at the shelves in curiosity, "ever waxed?" she asked.
