"So, you and Colin?" I wiggled my eyebrows, nudging April in the ribs. She blushed, her face taking on a deep red.

"Umm. I don't know, I guess," she mumbled, hiding her face in the pillow. We had been camped out inside her room since the game had finished, talking and relaxing.

"What do you mean you 'guess'?" it seemed like a sure thing, like she had him in the bag.

"I don't know. We haven't like, discussed anything about mates or anything about us, really," she picked at the duvet, pulling the beaded fabric.

"Well, why don't you ask?" It was simple really, if she wanted something then she needed to put herself out there and grow some ovaries, so she can women up! Because we all know women are stronger than men...

"That's a bit..." She trailed off. What the hell? Where is the April who never shies away from anything?

"Hold on. Who are you and what have you done with my girlfriend?" I joked, trying to lighten the mood.

"Shut up," she mumbled. That didn't work like I thought it would, I needed to bring out the big guns.

"Alright, that's enough of that! No more moping, if you want Colin, then go and get him!" I pushed her out of the bed, shoving her towards the door, "do it. Yesterday you said tomorrow, just do it!"

"You just quote Shia Labeouf?" She stared at me with a mildly amused grin,

"Maybe, but that's not the point. The point is to go and get your man!" She shook her head but opened the door and started trailing down the hall. Hmmm, what should I do then? I should probably go back to my room and rest, oh yes, my bed was calling to me.

I closed her door, listening for the distinct click of the lock and followed down the hall; now, all I need to do is remember how to get back to my room. This would be easy if I had just a little bit of a sense of direction but sadly I have none; I had been this way all my life, I literally have no idea where anything is. I could probably get lost on my own street, I was that bad. Oh well, I'll just site see then. I turned down a random hallway, hoping to stumble luckily into my room; that's probably not going to happen. There were beautiful paintings lining the desolate maze walls; stunning hues of sunset oranges and wild fire reds, truly incredible. Whoever decorated the house had some great taste in art.

"You like that painting?" A voice called from behind me. I jumped, started by the sudden presence; I pivoted on my toes and came to face a tired Greyson leaning in an open doorway.

"Yeah it's beautiful," I mumbled, trying not to stare at the large bruise forming along his collar bone; the large purple mass stretching like a galaxy over his sun kissed skin. He shifted his weight, leaning more onto the wood of the door way; I could sense he was sore, his back aching from the strain of life.

"I love that one," he pointed, "I watched my mum paint it."

"Oh, she's amazing," I complemented, glancing back at the painting. I could feel the burn of Greyson's eyes on my head, like he was trying to communicate telepathically.  He finally gave up, heaving a heavy sigh.

"I'm sorry for yelling at you. I didn't mean to offend you," he apologised, sincerity leaking from his voice.

"I know you didn't but it was really mean," and it was, not that Theo had reacted any better but still, what was I supposed to say?

"Yeah, I guess it was mean." He paused, running a hand through his hair; I stilled, keeping my eyes firmly on the mirage in front of me. "You don't understand how dangerous he is though! I'm worried for your safety, Summer. I'm thinking of you!" My temper flared and I turned to him, ready to rip him a new one. I got closer, tilting my head up to see his cool blue eyes glint with anger.
