My Snowy Snowy Wolf
Chapter 29

Sophia's POV

Everything came crashing down on me and it felt like my mind was crushed by a thousand bricks. The force of the teleportation was almost too much to bear, almost too much for a mortal like me to be able to comprehend.

The whole time i could feel Shuu's warmth. I didn't know what to think at this point, my body felt extremely weak, but what hurt the most was my heart. Snow, the one i had placed all my trust in had betrayed me so easily, and the worst feeling was the fact that he never loved me.

I was so occupied with my thoughts that i didn't realise I was stumbling forward. It took me a moment to realize that Shuu had grabbed my arm and pushed me forward.

"We are here." He said huskily, and i opened my eyes slowly, feeling fatigue crash down on me. The first thing i did was to look down as I stared at his fingertips, digging into my skin so deep that it turned white. I felt no pain at all, physical pain at all didn't register at my mind at this moment. All i wanted to do was to die at this point.

"Take a seat." Shuu's voice snapped me from my thoughts. I looked around and noticed the lavish room we were in, we were in the center surrounded by countless grand bookshelves that looked centuries old, but they still managed to maintain their magnificence.

Shuu motioned for me to take a seat opposite his grand study table, and i obliged, just realizing the intense look he had kept on my face the whole time. I flinched at the intensity of his gaze.

"Are you hurt?" he asked.

I shook my head. "No; are you?"

I noticed his hands were off a slight shade of red, he had probably burned himself in the flames while shielding me from it. I noticed how he tensed and clenched his fist slightly.

"You are so observant, chérie." He scoffed, but his eyes shifted to something behind me.

I turned to see what he was looking so intently at, and i almost had a mini heart attack when i realized a dark figure standing right behind me, his head hung low and a hood covered his face. In his outstretched hands were a blackened scroll.

"Take it, chérie" Shuu said; and the look in his darkening eyes told me i had no choice but to listen to him.

I carefully picked the scroll from the servant, feeling the weight of it. It was cool in my hands, and i felt the power surging through it.

"What.. what is it?" I asked carefully, uneasiness slamming into me.

Shuu merely smirked, and leaned forward slightly.

"If you are really the chosen one, this scroll will call upon you," He said, and i felt the air in the room thicken.

The scroll's power was surging, it was contained, but i could feel how the much power was locked in here, and how much power was trying to break through the ancient seals.

"Where.. where did you find this?" The power bleeding through this scroll felt dark, it called to me like nothing else had before, but at the same time somehow i knew that this power would turn evil if fallen into the wrong hands.
