My Snowy Snowy Wolf

Chapter 8

Sophia's POV

I ran and ran and ran, as fast and as far as my two feet could carry me. The forest was dark and eerie, and to be honest I had absolutely no idea where I was heading towards, but as long as I could get away from Blake, that would be enough for me. His rejection hurt me; i knew i shouldn't have expected anything from him, we just met after all. It was not that I hated him or anything, but i knew it would be dangerous if I stayed. I was a werewolf in vampire territory, and although most of them seemed nice, deep down i knew that i was not welcome.

Suddenly, something crashed into me, throwing me off my feet as i tumbled into the muddy grasses. Pain shot up my ankle, it seemed like i twisted it.

"Fuck." A deep voice brought me to my senses, and i snapped my head towards the voice, and to my horror,  i was met with pale white eyes, that was staring at me. I noticed the guy was injured, he had long gashes down his back, and he looked like he was in excruciating pain.

"What are you staring at." He bit out, as he shakily but quickly stood up, looking down at me. I noticed he was shirtless, and my face flushed in embarrassement.

"Are..are you okay?" I asked. He looked like he was in an absolute bad shape, blood staining through his pure white hair, but now he didn't seem like he was in pain at all.

"Yeah, im totally fine. My wings just got cut off, im feeling absolutely peachy right now." He retorted back sacarstically.

"I was just concerned." I frowned.

He turned to leave, and i watched him go, but as i tried to stand up, the pain in my ankle overtook me and i collapsed back on the ground, making a loud thud sound.

He turned back to look at me for a while, before he turned away and started walking away.

He couldnt... he couldn't leave me here. I was going to die. I couldn't walk, my ankle was weak. It was all because of him.

"Hey.. help me!" I shouted, but he didn't stop walking, instead he increased his walking pace.

"You jerk! You are the one who crashed into me -"

Suddenly a huge wave of fatigue took over me, and I clutched my head in pain. I could hear dark whispers, and laughter in the back of my head.

A cool touch brought me to my senses, and I opened my eyes slowly to see the jerk staring at me, a frown on his face.

"Now isn't this amazing, i never knew i would meet the one that Hayes has been targeting all these years." He sounded very amused, and my heart started thumping in fear as he gave me a once over. Was he going to kill me?

I was surprised when he lifted me up swiftly, and siting me down gently against the a nearby tree. He stooped down to my level and wiped my tear stained eyes.

"If you think i'm going to kill you, don't waste your time on such useless thoughts" I watched as he licked the blood from his lips as it trailed from his injured nose.

"Why.. aren't you and hayes friends?" I knew he was a demon, and he probably knew Hayes personally.

He scoffed.

"You aren't fucking serious right? We are on totally different levels."

"What are you going to do to me?" I said, feeling helpless.

"Stop talking and just get some rest, i'll come back for you, i need to get back something of mine first." He said, standing up to leave and i quickly grabbed onto his leg, feeling scared to be left alone here.

"Please.."

He lightly shoved me off.

"I'll be back soon, just sleep, and i'll be back." His eyes softened for a moment, but hardened again.

The cold air made my tear sodden eyes sting, as i counted to myself how long it would take before he came back. I tried many times to stand and walk, but i just couldn't. Eventually I managed to drift asleep, the soft sound of birds chirping and the steady soft beat of my heart easing my nervousness.

When I woke up, I realized that I was far more comfortable than I had expected myself to be. Usually, sleeping against a tree trunk in the forest would make made me think my body would be hurting much more than it was now. I slowly blinked, and my hand reached up, before realizing that i was laying against the bare chested demon who was staring amusedly at me. I resisted the urge to smack him, and instead i shoved him away harshly, but he didn't even budge.

"Stop overreacting," he said dryly, his crystal white eyes unamused. He looked like he was in much better shape as compared to earlier. The blood on his face and body was all cleaned up, and his pure white hair was rid of the fresh red color of blood.

"In case you are worried; I didn't do anything inappropriate to you."

"That doesn't reassure me at all."

"Let's just cut the crap. Since i did bump into you, i'll help you back home." He muttered.

"Why, that's so very nice of you." I rolled my eyes, trying to push myself up again, but i ended up crashing down.

"Stop fucking around."

He hissed, taking both of my arms in a harsh grasp. I inhaled quickly, trying to yank them back.

"I'm just trying to help you up, you are wasting my time." He seethed, pulling me up into a bridal carry.

The pace he walked at was so fast, i could see the trees around us blurring at the speed he was going.

"What's your name?" I asked, and when i only got a grunt in response, i shut up, deciding that since he was being such an ass, i didn't want to associate with him either.
