My Snowy Snowy Wolf

Chapter 17

(-Enjoy!-)

Sophia's POV

I was alone in the forest, the absolute silence suffocated me. The voices in my head were getting louder - it was taunting and mocking me, making my head hurt.

"You will not be able to defeat me, Heroine." A deep voice mocked, sending chills down my body.

I writhed in pain as fire engulfed me - i couldn't speak nor scream, i was just frozen to the spot, smelling the scent of my flesh being burnt.

I woke up in cold sweat, unsure of what the dream meant. Something at the pit of my stomach was telling me that Hayes was much more than he seemed to be.

"Did you sleep well?" Blake asked, as i got into the car, as though the events of last night didn't happen. He probably tried to forget about it.

"Yeah." I said, and the conversation ended there.

After driving for about three more hours, we finally reached a secluded part of the town, it was an old warehouse. In order to get to the demon hideout, spell casting was needed. There was a long bridge leading to the warehouse portal, it looked old and shaky, Snow told me only one of us could safely fit onto the bridge at a time.

We were not going to try to break in, just roam around the area to see if there were really demons using this portal to cross from the underworld.

"The bridge would only fit one of us." I said, and Blake nodded, "I should go."

"No, i'm not letting you put yourself in this kind of danger."

"You don't have to worry about me." I said, sounding more annoyed than i intended to be. "Just stay in the car, we can't risk our prince getting attacked now can we?"

Blake looked at me, an unreadable expression on his face,

"I'm sorry about last night, i was drunk. I wouldn't have done what i had done if i was sober."

For some reason, what he said made me more upset. It was as if he had absolutely no feelings towards me.

"If you are in danger, scream for me and i'll come okay?" He said, as i got out of the car.

I slammed the car door, and without looking back at the car, i cautiously stepped onto the bridge, hearing a loud creaking sound that made my heart jump.

After being overly cautious and almost scaring myself to death at every loud creak along the bridge, i finally made it to the end.

In front of me was an abandoned warehouse. It was old, and the paint was peeling off it, but the dark and heavy aura it emitted made me have goosebumps.

Suddenly, something blurred past me, making me freeze in my tracks. I pressed myself behind the wall cautiously, peering around it, and to my horror, i noticed two demons, their back faced to me. They were bending their heads together, whispering harshly to each other. They were both wearing cloaks similar to the ones i saw the demons at the forest wearing.
