My Snowy Snowy Wolf

Chapter 13.

Sophia's POV.

I couldn't keep Snow out of my mind. Why was he behaving like this all of a sudden?

My thoughts were interrupted when Alpha's Terrence's deep voice filled the room.

"Your royal highness Prince Blake, welcome."
He said as he stood, shaking Blake's hand. Blake politely nodded at him, before he turned to face me, i almost gasped at the intensity of his eyes. I forgot how bright and red they were - i had been seeing them often in my memories, it felt unreal seeing them up close.

"We'll cut to the chase." Terrence said, and i did not miss out the distaste in his voice.

"The demons have targeted us - they are killing our kind slowly, one by one."

"The death tolls are rising, three vampires had been found sacrificed within the past three days." Blake said, and Terrence sighed.

"Their forces are getting stronger, it's almost impossible to track their activities, they have become faster and more ruthless in their attacks." Ashton said, and i noticed he didn't even give me a glance, he had been ignoring me for the past day ever since that incident with Snow.

"We need to prepare ourselves." Blake said, earning murmurs of agreements with everyone else in the room.

After hours of negotiating and planning, the Vampires and Werewolves finally reached a formal agreement. The two races would cease war against each other for now, it was a temporary truce, until the demon purge was over.

"Prince Blake, with all due respect, if the Vampires turn on us, we would not hestitate to fight back." Terrence muttered, an underlying threat laced in is voice, as he shook hands with Blake to seal the contract.

Blake merely nodded his head,

"Same to you, Alpha."

When the meeting was over, i nearly ran to catch up with Blake, who seemed like he was in a hurry to get away from me.

"Blake-"

"It will better for the both of us to forget the past."

I froze, letting my hand around his arm fall to my side.

"You remember?" I whispered, my heart beating wildly against my chest at the thought of him remembering us.

"I could never forget." He turned to face me, his once playful face now had a emotionless expression on them. He looked tired and a little sad, but despite that he still managed to carry such elegance around him, he almost felt unreal.

"Are you going to reject me too?"

"I can't reject you, we are bound by the contract to be wed." Blake answered simply.

"Then shouldn't we at least try?"

He sighed, as he grasped my hand gently and pulled me into an empty room, his tender manner shocked me.

"Listen Sophia. We are born into royalty and noblety, we do not experience such luxuries as a happy marriage."

"I don't understand.." Why couldn't he try? He was becoming like Ashton, not wanting to acknowledge the bond we had between us, and not even wanting to at least try.
