 Greyson's P.O.V

"...Or maybe not," I added.

We sat in silence for a while, just thinking about what just happened. Next thing I knew Louise was asleep with her head rested on my shoulder. I couldn't help but smile.

 *in the morning*

As we were on our way to Louise's house to speak to the policemen, we talked quietly since Louise was still very upset from finding her mom's ribbon bracelet in the photo album.

"So do you really think it has something to do with my mom?" Louise asked close to tears.

"Well I mean, we'll probably never know unless the police officers can tell us so we can't be jumping to conclusions just yet, so don't worry 'cause it probably won't have anything to do with her," I answered as calmly as I could, since I secretly though that she did have something to do with it but I couldn't tell Louise that or she'd get upset and probably annoyed at me. We continued walking in silence until we reached her house.

"I'm too scared to go in, I don't want to see the living room, it'll still be in the state it was in before and even though I didn't see it then, I don't want to see it now after all you said about it, was it really that bad?" She said, stopping at the gate.

"It was terrible so I'm not surprised you don't want to go in but we need to, I don't want to either but we have to be strong. Do you have the bracelet with you to show them?" I replied, looking straight into her bright blue eyes.

"Okay, I'll try and be strong and yes I have it, it's right here," she spoke handing me the ribbon in a plastic bag in case the police needed to run tests or something on it.

"Okay, let's go," I said opening the small gate and heading up the path with Louise slowly following behind.

We reached the door and I rang the doorbell so they knew it was us and not some random people if we just walked straight in. The officer who was with the one who spoke to us the night before answered the door.

"Ah Louise, Greyson. Come in of course we have a lot to tell you about. I'm P.C Tom Stone, I will be the one who will fill you in on everything that we find and everything we discover, as will our head officer, P.C Paul Curry," he explained politely.

"Thank you, officer Stone," Louise and I said in unison as we walked into her house.

"If you two wouldn't mind, could you please go sit at the table in the kitchen."

"Of course we will," Louise smiled. It was a fake smile and I could tell that just being here was tearing her apart inside. We walked through to the still perfect kitchen and sat down at the table across from Tom.

"Well we haven't found anything of much importance in our investigation so far, but do either of you have anything that might be of some importance to this?" I could see Louise gulp and reach into her pocket to take out the bag with the ribbon inside.

"Um, I have this," Louise said handing it over the table. "I found it in the photo album of Greyson and I, he had brought it upstairs to me because he went to see what it was that we heard downstairs and that's when we called you. It was stuck in one of the last few pages, where a photo was missing. This is my mom's and it was her favorite picture, and we were wondering if it meant she has something to do with all of this since she was out and still is and that's been longer than usual, and she normally runs away when she does stuff bad, but never this bad."
