Liam's POV:
Once the European part of the tour was over, back home in London, I decided to deal with Gracie's education. When I adopted Gracie, her school allowed her some time off to recover and adjust to her new environment. They had been very understanding and it demonstrated the kind of school she attended. I needed not just to arrange a return date for her but also inquire if the school would consider working with a tutor so Gracie could keep up to date with all her work while on tour with me; I knew if they didn't agree I would possibly have to face leaving Gracie behind with my parents; not that they would have minded but I wished to keep Gracie in her own school because moving her would be so disruptive, she could do without. I would rather move house before I considered moving her to another school. Lucky for me though, Gracie's school was not far from my house. Thinking about her education I realised I had only one week to arrange everything. We were to return to America in one week! So I judged wise to hurry and made my first phone call immediately after returning from Greece.
"Hello, Hurt-wood school, how can I help you?" A gentle voice answered the phone.
"I'm Gracie Jay's father; I'm ringing to see if it's possible to make an appointment with the principal!"
I used Gracie's own last name as I didn't know if she had been registered with her new name.
"What is it concerning Sir?"
The voice asked.
"It regards Gracie’s attendance and home tutoring!"
I said not too sure if that was correct.
"Okay, just one moment please Sir."
I held the line for a matter of seconds before the same soft voice reappeared.
"Mrs Conrad had adjusted her appointments for today; would you be able to make 1 o'clock, sir?"
"Yes!"
I said straight away glad to get such a quick appointment.
"Okay, have a nice morning. Goodbye!" The women said hanging up.
I went to Gracie's room to tell her the news.
"Can I come in?"
I said knocking the door.
"Of course!" Gracie giggled like it was not necessary for me to ask.
I entered the room and sat on her desk chair.
"I called your school, I have an appointment this afternoon, I think it would be good for you..."
Gracie cut me.
"I'll come with you!"
I laughed:
"I was just going to say it would be good for you to join me."
"It's been almost two months, I've really missed school."
I smiled happy to know that Gracie was excited to return.
