Liam's POV
"Dad can I please go to a party tonight?" Gracie asked.
"Umm, what party baby?" Zayn cut in.
"My friends are holding a party."
"Who's going Gracie?" I questioned.
"Everyone from school."
"I bet you the 'unpopular' kids aren't going" Harry said.
"Which kids are going Gracie" I asked.
"Umm, well, my friends, the football team, pretty much everyone."
Harry spoke for me
"Yeah no. You're not going."
"But Harry!" Gracie whined.
"There will be alcohol Gracie and cigarettes and probably drugs, you are not going!" Harry continued.
"But Zachary will be there!."
"In that case, No Gracie!" Harry said.
"Why you even speaking Harry? It's not even up to you."
"GRACIE! Attitude!" I demanded.
"Whatever!" Gracie yelled.
"Don't raise your voice at us!" I pushed.
"What time the party start?" Niall asked.
"9pm!"
Harry quickly turned back to look at Gracie
"You're definitely not going."
"Harry shut up!" Gracie hissed.
"Dad?"
"No!" I said.
"WHY NOT DAD!? WHY DO YOU HATE ME!?" Gracie cried.
"Because Gracie, you are 13 not 18 and I don't hate you. You are not going and thats final".
"Fine then. I HATE YOU DAD!" Gracie yelled angrily as she stormed off up the stairs.
I thought Gracie received the message pretty clearly, however I was mistaken, she had manage to get out the house without any of us knowing. Grabbing my phone I called Gracie
"Dad!"
"Where the hell are you Gracie?" I hissed.
"The party" she laughed.
"I want you home right now!"
"No, I'll be home when the party finishes." She then hung up on me.
I was fuming but I had no idea where the party was, and I didn't have any of Gracie's friends numbers. I had no choice but to wait up.
Me and the lads were pacing back and fourth nervously around the living room. It was 12:45 and Gracie's was was not home. We were worried sick and she wasn't answering her phone.
1 am the door bell buzzed. It was Gracie being held up by two police officers. I felt ashamed of myself, and disappointed with Gracie.
"We found your daughter with a group of friends smoking and screaming along the streets. It's taken several patrols cars to get them all home." The office informed me as he let go of Gracie.
She fell into my arms unable to stand.
"I'm so sorry, I will make sure this doesn't happen again." I offered.
What else could have I said. The polices officers nodded and left. It was pointless talking to Gracie at that point she was drunk. Taking her to bed I placed a bucket beside her and left her room.
8 am I woke Gracie up, I wanted to show her the effects of alcohol.
"Morning dad!" Gracie said all chirpy as I walked in.
I couldn't believe it.
"I've made breakfast, I want you downstairs in 10 minutes." I demanded.
Gracie POV:
I went downstairs and I could hear dad talking with the other boys.
"I don't understand, she was wasted, completely gone, and I went to wake her, but-but she was awake, chirpy, she didn't have a hangover" dad stuttered.
"Maybe it's just an act". Harry offered.
"Gracie confuses me too much!" Niall added.
"It scares me" Louis said looking worried.
"She should not be this okay after how drunk she was last night." Dad said.
Zayn's POV:
"What you think I ain't ever drank before."
"Well your 13" Harry said.
"Clearly there's still a lot about me you don't know." Gracie's paused.
"I'm used to drinking and I know how to deal with the hangover." Gracie added.
"Gracie your 13, you were wasted and walking the streets. You could have been kidnapped and murder or some thing and we had no idea where you were.
"Shhhhhhh, no need to shout." Gracie
"You should not be drinking" Harry said standing beside Gracie.
"Whatever."
"It's illegal!" Harry shouted.
I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU WOULD DO THAT! ARE YOU STUPID?" Liam shouted.
"Liam, calm down." I said placing a hand to his shoulder.
"CALM DOWN?! ZAYN? HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO CALM DOWN?" Liam shouted at me.
"Gracie started crying. "I'M SORRY, OKAY?!"
"IM SORRY, IM SORRY I'M SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT, SORRY I'M NOT THE DAUGHTER YOU HOPED I WOULD BE. I'M FUCKED UP, I'M FUCKED UP IN THE HEAD, BUT HEY IT'S WHAT YOU GET WHEN YOU HAVE A FUCKED UP LIFE.
"language." Liam reminded Gracie.
"OH SHUT THE FUCK UP LIAM" Gracie screamed.
"WHAT AS GOT INTO YOU GRACIE! DRINKING, ATTITUDE, LANGUAGE, WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH YOU?" Liam screamed back.
"I'm fucked up, that's what's wrong. I'm so fucked up I have to drink, I need it, I can't cope without it. My body is use to it." Gracie yelled.
"what do you mean use to it?" I questioned.
"Dad would give it to me when I was locked in the room with 300 or more people."
"So your an alcoholic?" Harry asked.
"No, I'm not a fucking alcoholic you stupid idiot. I drink to forget everything."
"Gracie your 13, stop using such profanities" Liam spat.
"Get fucking use to it. It's me!" Gracie said walking across the kitchen.
Liam went to speak but Gracie surprised him as she walked up to him nuzzled her head into his chest and asked for a hug. He sighed and sat down in the chair pulling her into a hug.
"I don't want anything to happen to you, sweetie. I would never forgive myself. Drinking underage is illegal, and you are grounded. No more parties" Liam calmly spoke.
"What you on about dad?" Gracie said looking up to find her dads eyes.
"Last night Gracie. I'm on about last night."
"What about last night?" Gracie questioned looking confused.
Gracie had forgotten what had happened in a matter of minutes. I wasn't sure if it was sincere or Gracie's way of changing the subject, but she did seem generally confused
