"So what you're telling me, you ran into Calum Hood at the concert and rejected him?" Shay gaped at me.

"Yes," I said.

"What's wrong with you?!" she shrieked.

"Nothing," I stated. "Which is why I rejected him."

She gives me a look, judgment in her eyes. "You missed out on the opportunity of a lifetime."

"Opportunity of a lifetime?" I scoffed. "More like the biggest mistake I could ever make."

"You're so stubborn," she groaned. "Why don't you ever live a little?"

"Why don't you stop shaming me for saying no to sex?" I snapped at her, now annoyed.

Shay sighed. "Okay, okay. I'm sorry."

"Calum is just..." I paused, letting out a groan. "He's a complete ass."

"He was pretty nice to me," Shay told me.

"That's because you fell for his charm and he's desperate for sex," I pointed out. "That's all he cares about: sex."

"Well, what's wrong with liking sex?"

"Nothing," I huffed. "But I think there's something wrong when you start acting like the ruler of all people."

"I didn't know you hate the guy so much," Shay laughed.

"He treated me like a piece of meat, Shay!" I exclaimed. "I'm much more than a little toy to him; I'm a human being."

"Do you want me to tell him that?" she giggled. "'Cause I managed to get his number."

"Shay," I narrowed my eyes at her. "Why would you do that?"

"So I can talk to him, duh," she says. "I'm not letting this one go, especially since he's in a band."

"You're so oblivious, Shay," I rolled my eyes at her. "I hate to break it to you, but he's probably already forgotten about you."

She stands up. "Well, that was rude."

"You deserve someone better," I sighed as she retreated back to her bedroom.

She slams the door shut, making it well known that she's mad with me. I don't know why, I'm just trying to protect her. Although, Shay has always been stubborn and a pretty bad listener - two character traits we both kind of share.

I go back to my own room, deciding to scroll through Twitter out of boredom. Something caught my eye on my timeline, and when I clicked on it, I realized it was an article about the one and only - Calum Hood.

Of course.

CALUM HOOD'S RUMORED GIRLFRIEND

I laughed out loud; it's clearly a rumor. But if it's not, which I doubt, I feel bad for the poor girl. Maybe she's low on IQ points, and that's how she snagged a guy like Calum. I read the article further, even though it's a complete waste of time and I have things better to do.

"We don't know her name or her face, but we've recently talked to sources close to Mr. Hood and they released information that he's finally settled down with a lovely gal - and he's totally smitten with her. We can't wait to meet her, Calum!"

I rolled my eyes. Why is it any of their business of what Calum does or who he dates? Not that I care much either, but I just find it annoying when people try to butt into other people's life, desperate to know every single detail. It's ridiculous to me; I'll never understand.

I hear a soft knock on my door and I placed my phone on my bed. "Come in."

Shay walked into my room, then sat at edge of my bed, fiddling with her fingers. "You were right."
