It took everything in me not to snatch one of the flashing cameras and slam it onto the ground. I gripped Holly's hand in mine - not that I fucking wanted to, mind you - and attempted to push past the crowds of fans and paparazzi.
"Haven't you heard of personal space?" I scoffed.
I hate it when they act like wild animals. They scream at you like you're the asshole, desperate to take a picture that'll earn them more money than normal people make in a year. It's pathetic; and what's worse is when they take bad angles of you.
Oh, who am I kidding? I don't have a bad angle at all.
Holly, on the other hand...
"What's your name?" someone screeches at Holly eagerly.
I pulled her close to me. "Don't answer him."
"I wasn't going to," she said. "But it doesn't matter, they have their ways of finding out whether I tell them or not."
I nodded, agreeing with her. It's like they're the goddamn F.B.I. Within the span of twenty-four hours, the fans will learn that I have taken a shit three times.
Finally we made it to the black van waiting for us, knowing that those idiots must have a thousand photos of us already.
I let Holly in first (considering management would have a damn heart attack if I pushed her out of the way and went in before her) and climbed in after.
"Fucking hell," I breathed out.
Holly glanced at me. "Aren't you used to this?"
The van begins to move onto the road, God knows where it's taking us. "Yeah, but not when I have a fake girlfriend," I answered, wishing I was in my hotel room already.
Holly laughed. "You've never been caught with the multiple girls that suck you off everyday?"
I smirked at her. "Now don't go sounding all jealous, princess."
She scrunches up her nose in disgust. "You're gross."
I slid in my seat closer to her, putting my arm around her shoulders. "Gross? That's not a nice thing to say to your boyfriend."
She glares at me. "Well, you're not my boyfriend and I don't know if you've gotten that hint but I'm not going to have sex with you because I don't like you."
"Then why did you agree to do this stupid shit?" I chuckled. "You could've said no and we wouldn't have had to see each other ever again."
But I'm sure this damned world would've found a way.
Holly elbows the arm I have around her off of her. "Like I said before, I'm doing this for the benefit of myself. I'm in it for chance of an actual acting job and money. That's all, Hood."
"Ah, so you're no better than me," I hummed. "You're doing this for selfish reasons. How conceited of you, princess."
She narrows her eyes at me in anger. "You're calling me selfish and conceited?"
"Well, I certainly hope you're not implying that I'm selfish one," I say. "Conceited? Sure. Selfish? Yeah right."
"Oh please, you're the most selfish person alive," she huffs.
"While I may not be denying that I'm the most selfish person alive," I begin, "there's also no denying that everyone is little bit selfish."
"That doesn't make sense."
"People who give or offer things to others are being selfless, huh? They do that to feel good inside, knowing they made someone else happy. Don't you think that sounds a bit selfish, people doing things to make themselves feel good rather than the intention of making others feel good?"
