I was falling in love... again.
Holy fuck.
I don't want to fall for Holly. Not because I'm sort of damaged - even though I am - but because I know she could do better. For all I know I was falling for her while she was falling for someone like... like Luke.
Luke had been nice to her from the start, while I had been nothing but a sex-crazed asshole who didn't give a shit whether I hurt her feelings or not.
But now... now all I care about is her feelings. When she cried my heart strangely ached and I found myself empathizing with her; when she smiled my heart raced faster than the speed of light. She made the impossible seem possible...
Such as falling in love again.
I thought love for me was destroyed when Karina stole my heart, played with it for a bit, ripped it into pieces and lit the remains on fire and watched it burn with a smirk that was created by the devil. However... Holly was the angel that someone recovered the heart and made me feel hopeful that it could be back to the way it was one day.
My hand was holding hers tightly as we walked the streets of L.A., occasionally bumping into a few fans and taking a few pictures with them.
"What's the plan for tonight?" Holly asked.
"We have a show," I answered her. "Are you going to come?"
"Of course. Why wouldn't I?" she chuckled. "Do you want me to come?"
"Of course I do!" I tell her quickly. "Seeing your face in the crowd would be the highlight of it all."
She smiled at me, and then something must've caught her eye because suddenly she beamed with excitement.
"Ice cream!" she gasped, pointing at the ice cream shop ahead of us. "Can we get some?"
Fucking hell she's so adorable.
I grinned. "You could never go wrong with some ice cream."
I follow her into the shop and as we waited in the long line (normally I would have refused to stay if the place was busy but I didn't want to disappoint Holly) we looked at the menu above that displayed the flavors of ice cream.
"What are you going to get?" she asked me with a small nudge.
I shrugged. "I don't know... I don't really like ice cream all that much."
She raised an eyebrow. "Are you lactose intolerant?"
I shook my head. "No."
Her eyes widened. "Then how could you not like ice cream?"
I laughed. "Why don't you pick out a flavor for me and we'll see if you could bring out an obsession with the cold, creamy delicacy much similar to yours?"
Holly nodded. "You're on."
She decided on something simple: cookies and cream. And let me tell you, it was one of the most delicious things I have ever tasted. I regret not caring much for ice cream because, holy shit, this stuff is amazing.
Holly smirks at me as I cleaned off the last bit of my ice cream. "So I take it that I won this bet?"
"With a landslide," I answered, winking at her.
"What does the winner get?" she questions.
"That depends," I said. "What does the winner want?"
She looks up at the ceiling, pondering deeply and I couldn't help but stare at her as creepy as it sounds. I know I probably said this about a billion times but I don't give a shit anymore; Holly Christine is fucking beautiful.
