CALUM HOOD SPOTTED KISSING GIRLFRIEND HOLLY CHRISTINE

Everywhere. This topic was literally everywhere. Newspapers, magazines, TV shows (such as E! News), et cetera. I open my eyes and the remembrance of the kiss is there; I close my eyes and I can still remember it - how our lips interlocked and how I wasn't totally disgusted.

I kind of enjoyed it. Even if it was for publicity purposes.

The kiss made me feel like I was on fire, actually. He was the flame and I was the match. I know it sounds cringe worthy and cliché but... I don't know... I kind of felt something. Not sure what this "something" is, but it was a something.

But my thoughts are what's confusing me even more. Calum is cold and stern and a total dickhead at one point, but lately he's been so kind to me. And considerate. Is he being nice in hopes for something in return? Or has he actually changed?

Ha. No way in hell.

People don't just change. Especially in the span of a couple of days (or hours, for that matter). People are like snakes: every once in a while we shed our old and grow our new, meaning that we change because we have to, it can't be controlled. I know it doesn't make sense, but...

I don't want Calum to change because he feels like he has to. He should change because he feels like it could be good for him.

My phone begins to ring and the Caller I.D. displays Shay's name. I know what this is about because I even pressed answer.

"You kissed him?!" she shouts into my ear.

"Well, technically speaking, he kissed me," I said. "But it was for publicity purposes."

"Did you like it?" Shay questioned curiously.

I sighed. "No," I lied.

"Oh. Okay then," she replies. "Your family is going nuts. They think you're Hollywood's biggest celebrity ever to walk the ground, since you've been catching the media's eye lately... with Calum."

"Did you tell them the relationship was fake?" I asked.

"No... Do you want me to?"

"No," I say quickly. Too quickly. "I mean, I can't really lead to more exposure to my fake relationship with him. I probably wasn't allowed to tell you..."

"Don't worry, Holly," Shay chuckles. "Your secret is safe with me."

"Thanks," I say, leaning against the fridge lazily. "So how's it going with you?"

"Nothing much, just here in boring old New York City," she sighs.

"You know you live in one of the biggest cities in America, right?" I reminded her.

"And you're in the same state Channing Tatum is," she says. "I'm so jealous of you... except for the fact that you still have to interact with that asshole Calum Hood everyday."

I frowned, glad we weren't face to face otherwise I would have glared at her. I didn't like how she insulted Calum... God, I feel like such a hypocrite.

"Yeah..." I say, then hear the bedroom door open. "I gotta go."

"Wait-"

I hung up accidentally (yeah... on accident...) and placed my phone in my pocket, taking a deep breath just as Calum walked into the kitchen - hair messy and only in boxers.

He noticed me and took a step closer, making my heart race quickly in my chest. He was soon standing in front of me, an undetermined emotion in his eyes.
