Spencer's apartment...CaliforniaBy the time I was done with my first ever bottle of alcohol, everyone had already started to move around the house again. It didn't taste really...the alcohol, but I feel immune to hurting so I grab another one in the cooler but this time I struggled to open it.
"Need some help beast?" I turned around and saw Christian smirking at my miserable attempt to open a beer bottle. I handed it to him and mumbled a 'thank you'.
"Aren't you like eighteen or something?" He questioned.
"Umm sure okay," I scratched my head in response. He didn't need know I was actually sixteen turning seventeen.
"You shouldn't be drinking Kate," he said, handing me the now opened bottle.
"Nor should you. You are only twenty " I replied.
"I don't drink."
"Ohh. What's in the cup then," I asked, motioning to the red cup in his hand.
"Grape juice. You know, there are still some of us sober beings around," he yelled over the loud music.
"Christian!" A group of people called his name. He waved at them and nodded a 'I'm coming' response.
"Wanna join us?" He offered.
"Nah. I'm just gonna sit here and wait for Jess," I kindly declined.
"Okay. I'll see you around then?"
"Sure," then he left. Leaving me standing awkwardly next to a cooler.
I spent the next hour greeting people who wanted their turn with the cooler. I had two more bottles to drink and was feeling drunk as a newbie can be.
"Katey are you drunk?" I heard Jessica ask from behind me.
"No no no," I slurred.
"Mm. Sure," she laughed. "So listen, we gotta go get that second part of the photo," I was about to nodd a response but instead I ran to find a bathroom. When I found it I saw that the door was blocked by two people. I pushed past them and slumped next to the toilet.
Jessica's POV
What the fuck? Usually when I help people they don't run away like that. I follow Kate to wherever the fuck she is running to. I soon find that's it's the bathroom. She pushes through Mark and J-something, I forgot his name. She crouches down by the toilet and empties her insides which I'm sure contained mostly of alcohol.
Spencer walked through the door looking panicked.
"What's wrong. Why were you runn-" he is cut of by the site in front of him, "ooohhh shit," his facial features change from looking concerned to disgusted.
Kate continued to throw-up. You could see her throat expand as it created more space for the vomit to make it's way up her esophagus. Spencer must have noticed me discomfort because he reached for my shoulder and pulled me into his chest, shielding me from the disturbing site.
I know first timers usually have a hard time coping, but she had been throwing up way to long. Maybe she was sick.
"Spencer she has been at it too long. I'm getting worried that maybe she is sick,"
"Yeah, but she didn't complain about an upset stomach," he replied.
I walked over to Kate and squatted next to her.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
"I'll be fine,"
"Did you eat today?"
"I had that donut after kickboxing," she informed after a few seconds of thinking.
"So you are telling me that you haven't eaten since you woke up then drank a few bottles of alcohol.." I more like stated through gritted teeth.
"I had the donut," she said, right after another round of vomiting.
"You Americans and your bloody donuts. Where I come from, that's a snack sweetheart!" I told her.
We waited for another five minutes until Kate had recovered. She washed her mouth and attempted to brush her teeth with her fingers.
"Now I'm starving," she announced.
"No shit," I scoffed and went to go find her something to eat. Spencer and his roommates had absolutely nothing Kate would like.
Behind the cheese that looked five years too old was a ready made sandwich. I didn't know what it was but it looked good enough so I take it, warm it for a few seconds and give it to Katey who was now sitting on top of the kitchen counter.
"Thanks," she said and took a bite. Her face scrunched up in distaste of her sandwich.
"This shit tastes like rotten cheese," she said, her voice still informing she was still a bit tipsy.
I laughed because she carried on eating it.
"So how are we gonna get you in the house to get the picture?" She questioned.
"Fuck I haven't thought that far yet. Maybe you could just do it and come back outside to give me my phone back," I suggested.
"I doubt they are gonna let me go outside Jess," she sighed a long, tired sigh.
"Are we gonna go now? I wanna get this thing over and done with," Spencer interrupted our conversation.
"Spence...so the picture? How we gonna get it?" I asked.
"Like last time," he said.
"That's too risky," I responded.
"Maybe we could do what to suggested and I drop your phone outside my window...if you can catch well," she drank too much today.
"No fuck you. My phone is not flying two stories. What if I don't catch it," I protested.
"Use mine the. Let's go," Well someone was pushy.
When we got to the car I couldn't help but ask,
"Kate? What if we find things about the picture you don't like,"
After a long moment of silence, she answered with a simple " I have no clue."
So next update is if I get more than 15 votes on this one (or previous ones)
