Spencer's Kickboxing Building...California

I exited the bathroom to find the boys and I saw Spencer holding Christian up against the wall.

"Spencer. Put him down. It's not his fault," I tried to reason with him. He gave him on last hit against the wall before he dropped him and turned to me. "Why didn't you tell me?"

"I-I don't know. I wasn't thinking. I didn't even know you guys were siblings. She never told me. I'm really sorry Spence."

He let out a heavy sigh. "Okay. I wanna go see her," he said.

I looked at Christian for some help but he had his in his hands so he didn't see me.

"Spencer, she is getting cremated today by the morgue. You won't be allowed in."

"But don't they have to find the nearest relative before they do that?"

"They couldn't find anything on her. My guess is that she is here illegally," I explained.

"That's impossible. She was registered in the institute in Indiana. And she told me she had forms and everything."

"I don't know Spencer-" I was cut off by someone. I turned around to see Jacky standing there with a worried look on her face.

She walked over to where we were standing. "Hi guys, can I talk to Kate for a minute?" They all averted their attention to me, Spencer and Christian both with a look of confusion.

"Sure. Christian and I are gonna head to the morgue," Spencer replied for me.

When they left, Jacky and I took our seats at the desk. After a moment of awkward silence, I finally spoke. "Why are you here?"

"To talk to you. But first, I want to apologise for yesterday. I totally understand your frustration," she said rapidly.

"What did you want to talk about?"

"I just wanted to explain myself. You know, finish what i started before I leave you alone...If that's what you want, of course."

"okay..."

"okay, so l met with Daniel..."

Jacky's POV

"This better be good Daniel," I said to him.

"Thank you for giving me a chance to explain myself," he said. "First of, you look very beautiful today-"

I cut him off. "Cut the flatter and get on with it."

"Okay, I'm sorry," he apologised rather quickly. "When we first met, I didn't think I would fall for you so quickly. To be honest, I was on a rebound because-"

"So basically I'm nothing but a rebound to you?"

"No no. Not anymore. Just the first four days. Because my marriage with Carlene was falling apart, so I am currently trying to divorce her, but she won't let me," he paused. "But now that we are together, she has to let me go."

"Kate. When he told me that, I couldn't help  feeling something for him. I realised at that moment that I love him. He seemed so...so vulnerable."

"Vulnerable? Daniel Johnson vunerable?" She scoffed.

"I was never really a good judge of character," I spoke softly.

"Clearly."

I ignored her last comment and continued.

It's been two weeks since Daniel and I sorted things out. Everything was going well for us. Our relationship now holds no secrets.

"Dan. Why are you getting a divorce? That's if you don't mind ne asking."
