Words are a lot like stars, if you can imagine...
They're everywhere, all the time, surrounding us our entire lives. And yet for most of our lives, we overlook its beauty. Our focus grows distracted from its value and beauty.
She appeared to be grasping the metaphor, so I went on,
"Except there's one little difference: Words are more powerful. In fact, words hold the absolute greatest power in the universe!"
At this remark, she glanced up, her stare directly on me.
"It's simply a matter of how we use them...We can suppress them like scorched coal or ignite its fire.
It's dangerous and risky, though. For just as a beautiful, precious star can explode into a raging supernova, so too, can the most delicate words bring about the most massive array of catastrophe and destruction..."
