Yesterday was hectic. I don't know why but I saw that Jonah and his friend Tori were following me but I didn't let them know. I went all the way up to my apartment and I did peek at them afterwards but then I saw Oliver was outside too. Is it bad that I didn't even want to get my dog because Jonah was there?
I decided to let the two talk and I'll come back outside to get Oliver when they leave. After Thomas went to bed I walked quietly out of my room to go outside and get Oliver. Now, this isn't the first time Oliver has been outside for a few hours.
It was my moms birthday and we decided to go out as a family. I let Oliver out the house so he could use the bathroom then my parents came out and we all left, me forgetting about Oliver. After a few hours I saw Oliver sitting on the front porch and once he saw our car pull up he got up and began to wag his tail.
Walking down the stairs quietly, trying not to wake the neighbors, I went and got Oliver.
"Oliver!" I whispered yelled. It was getting darker by the minute and I couldn't see or hear Oliver coming. Did Jonah do something to him? No he couldn't have...but then Tori was there with him so I don't know what she would have done. I began to walk out by the tree where the two were and looked around.
Then I saw Oliver under the bush, he was stuck among the pointy leaves. I carefully got my right hand around his body and my left hand is pushing back the leaves. I feel the pointed ends slowly piercing my arm but I didn't care. I got Oliver out, turned my phone flashlight on, and quickly checked around his body for no blood.
"Good you're not hurt." I gave him a hug and he gave me kisses.
"Okay Oliver, lets go inside." I got up and put Oliver down then noticed the flashlight was shining on something bright. It looked like a piece of paper.
I bent down to take a closer look and noticed it was a ripped piece. I flashed my flashlight near the piece I saw and saw there were more pieces of ripped up paper on the ground. I began to pick up every piece I saw and stashed it in my pocket.
Once I got all the pieces, or most of what my flashlight could show me, I headed back up with Oliver following.
Inside, I fed Oliver and gave him water. I went into my room and worked on the pieces of paper that I found. Assembling them one-by-one, corner to side, it was coming together. There were a few pieces that are and were wet...I wonder...did Oliver rip up this paper?
That aside, I finished the puzzle. There were words but because the pieces of the paper were torn up it was hard to make it out. My lamp desk wasn't as bright and neither was the room light so I used my phone again.
TORI,
THERE IS S H TO TELL YOU BUT I WON'T. I JU T W T YOU TO BE SAFE, H A LIFE, AND T KE CARE OF JONAH FOR ME, YOU KNOW HOW HE LIKES TO START TROUBLE.
YO R BES FRIEND, LOUIS
After reading that, I know Oliver chewed up the paper. But luckily most of the letters are there so anyone can make out what it says. I saw the time and it was 11:50. I turned off my lap, the lights, and crashed.
.....
"Who are you?"
Yellow glowing eyes stared right at me. It got closer, the eyes got bigger, then...BAM!
I jolted out of bed screaming. My whole body broke out in cold sweat, the hair on my arms were standing up, and I even got goosebumps. I looked at the time and it was 6:30. Ugh, I'm gonna be late to school this morning. I walked out of my room with my clothes in hand and went to the bathroom.
