"This is home." I took Thomas back to my place and let him crash there.

"Cozy. Now be a good friend and get me something to drink." I rolled my eyes. I helped him sit down on the couch and got him a soda. But not before shaking it and giving it to him. Before he could open it I went into my room to grab a t-shirt he could use and a wet face towel. After a few seconds I heard a yell come from the living room.

I came out to see what happened and laughed so hard. His whole shirt and face was covered in coke and some of it got onto his pants too. "I should've known you would do this."

"That's true. Now you know not to ask me to get you anything." I handed him the shirt and towel. Because he and I were such close friends he changed right there. Me being respectful, I went to the kitchen to get something to eat.

"Tell me honestly why you came here. I know you can't be on vacation because your school wouldn't be off on a Tuesday and your parents wouldn't even let you leave."

"I'm tired right now. I'll tell you some other time." I saw his expression and he really did look tired, whether it was physically or mentally I let him sleep. I grabbed a pillow and blanket from the closet and let him sleep there on the couch. Luckily for him, it was a pullout couch so before he could sleep I fixed it for him.

"Thanks. I'll see you in the morning."

.....

My alarm went off and it was six in the morning. Remembering I had school, I got out of bed, grabbed some clothes, and went into my bathroom. After my shower I blow dried my hair and put my clothes on. Not forgetting my favorite beanie I went out of my room with book bag in hand and checked on Thomas.

I saw the couch back to its original state and Thomas in the kitchen. "Why are you there? You should still be in bed,"

"It's alright. I heard your alarm go off and figured I'd make you breakfast and your lunch." I looked and saw a stack of pancakes, scrambled eggs, and bacon.

"I forgot how amazing you are sometimes." I quickly grabbed the plate, thanked him, and began to inhale the food. "Slow down short stuff or else you'll choke." I looked at him with a glare and ignored him. It didn't take long for my plate to be clean.

"I totally forgot you were a big and good eater."

"Well it has been awhile since we've last seen each other." I went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth. One more check in the mirror and I was about to leave.

"So here are extra keys to the place. Try not to leave and rest. You know where the food and bathroom is. That's it. If you need anything text me and I'll try to help if I can."

I left and it was already seven o'clock. I quickly ran down the steps and tried to catch the bus before I missed it. Luck was on my side because the bus stopped for me. I got on and sat right at the front. Put my headphones in and zoned out the world.

.....

At school everybody was looking around and gossiping. I haven't seen the school like this since someone decided to pull a prank and say they were dying. I got to my locker and these group of girls were next to me talking. I decided to be nosy and listen.

"Did you hear what happened to Louis?"

"I feel sorry for Jonah. They were best friends."

"It's scary that someone would kill such an innocent person."

"I heard this just recently but there is a neighborhood near Jonah's and there was an incident there as well. Someone got stabbed and the cops didn't catch the guy." All the girls gasped and placed their hands on their mouths.

That incident sounds like the one Thomas went through. But hearing what happened to that kid, I feel sorry for Jonah. I want to say something but after our little argument we haven't talked since. Throughout the whole day, everywhere I went, people were talking about Louis. Luckily Jonah wasn't here to hear all this stuff.

.....

"Thomas!" I came straight home to make sure Thomas wasn't straining himself.

"In the bathroom," Sounds like he's fine. I got some snacks from the fridge and sat on the couch. I looked around my place and it looked clean...since Thomas cleaned he has a problem. That's one of his bad but good habits, when he's dealing with something he cleans like there is no tomorrow.

"How was school?"

"Fine. There was a kid that died recently and I feel bad for his best friend,"

"Did you say something to him?"

"No. He didn't come to school today. But even if he came tomorrow I wouldn't know what to say because we got into a little argument,"

"This is interesting. Who is he?"

"Nobody. But enough about my day, what about you? You said you will tell me what's up with you."

"I was hoping you wouldn't remember."

"Start talking."

"You know how I'm living with my aunt for now right? Well my dad called and we had a huge argument. I didn't want to go to a boarding school then be sent off to the army so I said something I shouldn't have said and I don't want to repeat it. But because of what I said my dad said he would disown me."

"Whoa,"

"I'm not done yet. He somehow got mom into it too so now both of my parents are disappointed in me and want to disown me. Luckily I have a place to stay because we all know nobody would even tell my aunt since she has a weak heart." I nodded my head.

"Anyways, I told auntie that I was going to come and visit you and hang here for a few days then probably go back."

"It's not probably, it's definitely go back. I don't want you staying here and then me being another reason for you to get into more trouble. I don't know what you said but you should apologize and reconcile with your parents quickly. You know I don't have any parents so you know what I'll say to you."

"Yeah I know. But I'll stay here for a few days and think things through."

"Okay. Plus it's not like you have a choice because of your injury. You can't go back until you're all healed."

"I didn't think of that. I was planning to leave in two days but now that you mention it I'll stay as long as I need too. Oh another reason is because of that guy that stabbed me, who knows what he will do to you once I'm gone."

"Whatever," I ordered pizza afterwards and then Thomas and I just talked some more.

"I'm gonna go to bed now. I'm getting a bit tired," Thomas said. "Okay. Goodnight,"
